We put a deposit down on our cruise in January 2017, we typically go every 2 years so we could not apply it to anything yet.
If I remember correctly we can probably book in October of this year. I usually book opening day, can I book early and get the 10 percent discount both?
I transferred it to my ta when I got home.

You can combine onboard booking discount with opening day price as long as the cruise is not a blackout date.

You cannot book on opening day yourself. Your TA will need to book it for you since you transferred the placeholder to the TA. But yes, you can combine low opening day pricing with the 10% discount as long as the cruise is not on the blackout list.
