January 2019 marathon?

Hello!
We just booked our trip for the last week in January 2019 (27-31). The beach club was already sold out of standard rooms for our dates as well as 2 bedroom villas! The cast member I spoke to said it was a marathon week, but I can not find any information about it!
Has anyone gone the last week of January in the past and have trouble booking this hotel? We were bummed to miss out on the 2 bedroom villa!

It does overlap Pro Bowl, potentially. But the demand for that is so, so different.

We were at Disney the last week of January this year. We stayed at PO Riverside & the resort was really pretty busy. The food court was packed in the mornings & the parks were busier than we anticipated. Seems end of January isn’t slow anymore either.
