Host @sweetpeama
Welcome to the January support group. Please join us! Lets support each other in our pursuit for healthier/fitter/happier lifestyle
We struggled to find a host for this month, and I ask everyone to chip in with interesting topics, questions, things they read, lessons they learned, healthy meals they liked, motivational quotes and provide support to those that need it.
Please - join us, tell us about your goals for the year and for the month and yourself.
And I will also say, if you are just starting now, or you need a fresh restart - ignore the nay sayers! Every day is great for new start - but if you need a moment to set your mind on a fresh start, and you are ready - New Year is perfect! I gave up cigarettes on 1st of January 2004. Regardless of any new years resolution success rates - I did it and my life is better because I did it and that 12pm on 31st of December 2003 was my moment that I was ready, and I believed I can, and I did it! It doesn't matter if you tried 10, 20 or 100 times, and it didn't work or it didn't work long term - it's a new day, it's a new moment, you know better now, you are different know, something is different - past is not equal to the futre! Look ahead and give it your best shot!

Thank you HappyGrape for putting it together.
So if people hear you are trying to eat better and exercise more, they mostly nod and smile smugly, but that's ok. I did well with weight loss for most of last year leading up to our "probably the last for a long, long while" Disney trip, and even got back on track afterward... but the eclipse did me in. We travelled south to see the totality and stayed with my in-laws who eat incredibly-processed foods... and bringing my own foods tends to start drama, so I didn't. After that I kept chasing the wagon, but never seemed to get back on it for long at all... so I decided to start anew after the holidays, and here we are! All told, I'm still below where I was this time last year, just higher-than-my-lowest-last-year...
