Well, we just pulled the trigger ........... Instead of renting a car (dont want to deal with LA driving, and the off site car rental deal) , we have decided to hire a car service from LAX to VGC .
We are about 3 weeks away from our trip now, and had to decide soon .

From reading a lot of good reviews (and reviews on DIS boards) , we went with Lansky car service.
Rate is good , $210 all inclusive for round trip for 4 adults, including a grocery stop and gratuities (will also tip a little if the service is good).

Any input about Lansky's from anyone ?

I have a question about the one-park-per-day tickets. Is it possible to use one "day" at DL and one "day" at CA on the same actual day? I think I looked into this last time we went to DL and the answer was NO but I can't remember. I had decided that we weren't going to get hoppers this trip because in all the times we've gone, we hardly ever actually switch parks on the same day. The difference in price is $200 for our family and that's hard to justify if we only "might" use it. But, we can get 5 day tickets for about $65 more, which is easier to justify!

What would you do? Hoppers or no?

No, they will not allow you to do this. What you can do is buy the non hopper and if it seems that you really want to hop, upgrade it at the parks. That way there is no risk of spending the money and never using the ability to hop.

I've used them, and the nice thing is that they meet you at baggage, holding a sign with your name. Then they help with your luggage and take you straight to the parking lot (right across the loading zone, so really close.) Every other service I've used, they have parked outside the airport and then you wait for 20 minutes for them to get to you.

The only issue that I had was that they double charged my credit card. Once at booking and then again during the trip. I contacted them and they apologized and removed the second charge immediately. Hopefully it was an honest mistake and not them hoping I wouldn't notice.

we have used them over 6+ times.....since DS could get away with a booster seat rather than full car seat!
love them --- for me being in Canada it is $$$$ with the exchange rate but we find it is worth the expense -- given the personal service and grocery store stop and we get to the parks much quicker than any shuttle or bus service - we find the money to use this service each trip

It'a almost officially January! Woot woot! 14 days to go for us and we'll be in hopefully at least some of the time sunny California. It's 19 degrees outside my house right now so even California lows will probably feel warm to us.
Looking forward to beignets from Jazz Kitchen Express or if the line isn't to long possibly from the Mint Julep Bar. Seeing the new Soarin ride, RSR's, Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear, Monsters Inc and Roz, BTMR, and the list keeps going on.

I'm a little concerned about the crowds and parking on the race days. Not sure how it is going to effect things but I guess we will find out.

My dad and I are going Jan 23-26 for a quick father-daughter trip. We're staying at Alpine Inn, and I made a reservation at Steakhouse 55 - excited!!

We are super excited for our upcoming trip! We will be in the parks January 30th through February 3rd and staying at Desert Inn and Suites. Santa brought lots of mickey, Minnie, Pixar and princess gear for the trip .

So hoping that Jungle Cruise and Small World open on the 3rd as scheduled. Our 4 year old is pretty timid and nervous about rides. Those two are two of the very few I can convince him to get on, and all he talks about from our last trip, a year and nine months ago, is Small World.

Shifted dates from 1/9-1/13 to 1/8-1/12 so we can do Haunted Mansion Holiday before it goes down. Haunted Mansion is my hubbys favorite ride and since they don't do the overlay in WDW where we frequent, it was a must for him!

I just did and found 2 of my 4 night stay dropped $20. I phoned. They adjusted my reservation and sent me an updated confirmation (same #) via e-mail.
