January 2015....Let the planning begin!

Where are you staying? I'm jan 24-1!

Not 100% sure yet, waiting on prices and then discounts. Thinking of AllStar Movies. Or possibly LM rooms at AoA, but they tend to be left out of discounts. Or we may go back to POP. It will most likely be a value though. We did POR last time and it was fabulous, but we are trying to cut back a little bit on this trip since we are going again next October.
My inlaws own a timeshare through RCI and are planning to come with us in October. They want to convert and use some of their points and I've told them to get make a request 18 months out but I don't know if they have yet. We shall see. Will likely do a moderate if that doesn't work out.

How about you? And can we start talking about ADRs yet?

We will be at POR! Sure, let's talk ADRs! :P Our 180 days is in July, but I haven't figured the day, have you?

Man, I don't want to rush my summer, but I'm really itching to start planning! Bright side - at least when the summer is over and I'm back to work, I'll have Disney to look towards!

I hear ya! We went in Oct last year and I wished my summer away! But it's more exciting going in Jan cause I have the holidays to look forward to and then theres still DISNEY instead of the other way around like last year!

Yesterday my husband was asking if it were Christmas yet... then it would mean that we only have a month till our January trip. LOL. Next year is going to be a big Disney year, though... we have 2 trips to plan... January and another in May. So excited!!!

I sat down yesterday and planned out our days :) I hope Touring Plans is right about their crowd levels for next year!

DH might be doing a different masters program, so we may be able to go later in January. I had resigned myself to the new year's crowds, but I think we'll be happier with lower crowds. If my research is correct, he doesn't have to go back until the 20th, so there's a lot of the month to work with.
Now I have to decide if we want to stick with saving money at Shades of Green, or go for somewhere else.
I'm loving the possibilities.

The only (minor) drawback is that if we go later in January, my Mom will be back at work. So I have to decide if I want to bypass her entirely and just see if my brother or Dad want to tag along, or see if she's willing to take some time off, or just skip inviting extended family this time completely. The other option would be to plan arriving on the 31st of December or something, and only inviting other people to come for the first half of the trip.
I'm just glad I didn't bring it up to anyone yet, so we're not changing plans. I know my Mom would be ridiculously bummed if we told her she could come, then changed it so she couldn't.

I just sub'd to the other thread and sent a request to join the FB group. We will be in WDW January 10-14. It's a girls only trip with a friend I met through the June 2012 threads and the FB group. I will get to spend my 39th birthday at WDW. The trip was currently booked for September and only made the change to January when I was force into quitting my job on Sunday. We moved the trip to give me longer to save the money needed for it.

I'm joining in the fun!

January 20-30 at Pop

Just me and my youngest daughter --- she's turning 13 during this surprise mother-daughter trip.

No better way to celebrate having another teenager (((gulp!))) than with a Disney trip!! :rotfl:

Hi! :wave2:

I'm planning my first trip with my mom for Jan 12-17! I'm super excited! And we are planning on staying at Pop.

Moving our dates to January 20 - 30 at Pop

Didn't realize that I'd planned to arrive in the middle of MLK weekend! :crowded:

Well, it looks like the January dates aren't going to work out afterall. We've had to move our trip up to early December. Y'all have fun planning for January 2015!!
