I tried all these codes and nothing is working for me . I only going for Marathon weekend 1/6-1/9 and I only need an economy, right now rates are $200 ish range for those dates.

Anyone finding any good rates for that first week in January? We get in on 12/31 and leave 1/9. Right now I have a full size with National for $498 but can't find anything better. I'd like to stick with National or Alamo. Thanks!

I ended up cancelling our Thrifty wildcard at $39 daily for a Camero Convertible with Royal Rent A Car for $39 daily and if I show my CAA/ AAA card , I get an additional 10% off , also if you prepaid,(which I did) I got $26.97 off the total price....

I have a 16 year old boy very happy. After our Disney visit, Disney Dream cruise and B2B Carnival Glory cruise we will be in Hollywood Beach for 4 days....Aw, beaches , convertibles and Florida sunshine, what else could a teenage boy ask for ?

Mine is for the first week in January. Try Royal Rent A Car. They have compacts starting at $20 daily. If you sign up as a member free , you get discounts, you can also prepay , get 20% and if you have AAA/CAA you get more savings!

Finally found a better deal! And I had almost given up hope.

Originally had an economy with National for $282 taxes in (using AMEX code). Then booked via carrentalsavers.com and got an economy with Enterprise for $259 taxes and fees included. Shortly thereafter, prices went sky high for our travel dates (Dec. 31 - Jan. 7) ... in some cases over $700 .

Just for fun, I ran our dates on Expedia.ca yesterday. Snagged a midsize car with Dollar for $162.16, all taxes and fees included (and in Canadian dollars no less, so no exchange or conversion fees to pay ). My 6' 4" DH is much happier with the larger car, and I am MUCH happier with the price!

We thought about booking a minivan too, but it's going to be a lot cheaper to rent 2 cars. (Even if we have to pay double the parking fees.) We had 2 cars our last trip as well, and it is nice to be able to come and go separately if need be. It will also help us this year because we're all flying in from different airports and at different times. Our arrival time has changed a couple times, but since we're getting 2 cars, when my brother gets to MCO at 12 he can pick up his car and not have to sit around waiting for us to arrive at 530.

It's the one from the visa discounts website: Visa Car Rental Discounts I had planned on printing a copy of the screen to have along, but then I went with the insiders email codes instead.

Are there any January/2012 coupons out yet for National? I've not seen any, but haven't looked too hard. The rates are dropping, so that's always good. I just can't believe that there are no coupons out yet for 2012.

Rarely, if ever, will you find a discount on a 1 day rental. Discounts usually start with a weekend rental.
