OHHH. how much fun is that!!

Oh cool! Did you request a certain area? I requested the Toy Story section for my son, hopefully we will get that. I'll have my lime green mickey with my screen name on it, so if you see it be sure and say hi LOL! Haha this probably makes me sound like an over eager weirdo, sorry but I'm just friendly!

Yahooooey, I just booked a trip to the Poly today for January 21-25th. Never done free dining before so I am starting the journey of planning our ADR's. We have been to WDW that time of year before and have never really needed them as we are pretty flexible. I guess Free Dining changes things. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Me, my mom, and my sister will be there from January 6-9 to cheer on my MIL as she runs her first 1/2 marathon. We'll be staying at ASMu, and it'll be the first time my mom and sister have stayed on property. Can we say Monorail Drinking Tour!?!

We will be at BLT around the same time! I was at Poly this past Jan the same week and it was awesome. It's my first time with free dining as well, but I did ADRs last year too. I would recommend planning what parks you'll do what day then plan your meals from there. Definitely plan your character meals first because they book the quickest. Try and be flexible with the times of those meals since you'll be more likely to get those on the day you want. Which restaurants were you thinking? Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Glad to hear you liked the Poly. Was it warm enough to swim when you were there? We have been in January and have had to purchase hats and gloves to keep warm! Not sure where we want to eat... we are all over the place. I noticed that Epcot is open until midnight on the day we arrive which is awesome that we can get a bunch of park hours in that day even though our plane doesn't arrive until around noon. I think I will try to get an ADR at Rose & Crown that night and hope to time it with Illuminations. Then with a full belly we can hit Future World with a vengeance. We liked the Pooh lunch a lot at the Crystal Palace on previous trips. But, like the R&C, we have eaten there many times. Maybe its time to try some new things! Did you eat at any of the restaurants at the Poly? That might be a good choice on a night when the parks are closed earlier. BTW, we are late eaters... at home I feed the kids around 7pm and DH and I around 9pm. I am hoping that will help when it comes to getting ADR's. Any other recommendations you might throw my way?

I am especially new to the CS meals. The last few trips we have stayed in a DVC property and have eaten all but one TS meal a day back in the room. I can only remember one chicken sandwich lunch I bought at a counter in all the trips I've been on! And as a I recall, it wasn't very good.
