January 2011 Check-In ** Celebrating the New Year!

Going Dec 29 - Jan 1. Short trip but I am excited for holiday/new years at the park. I understand it is going to be crazy packed, but I am still so excited to be going again soooo soon, that I am not letting anything bring me down!

At least you are prepared to brave the crowds! That's half of the battle right there if you ask me. I'll be there for New Years as well and I am so excited about it!!

January 4-7. I haven't been since 1986, and it's my girls first trip. Staying a little far offsite at the Good Nite Inn.

DH and I are going to Glendale/Phoenix Jan. 8-11 for the BCS Championship Game - Go Auburn!!!

And then driving to DLR Jan. 11-15, staying at GCH

We've been to WDW many, many times (AP holders), but this is our first trip to DLR and we are SO EXCITED!!!

jan 22-27th for us

Mom and I are going 1/6-1/9. Leaving on the 9th to go home. Planning on doing WOC on 1/6 some kind of package. Also want to Minnie's and Friends on 1/7 for breakfast. Staying at Ramada Inn Maingate.

I'm heidispidi's sister - there same time as her! Jan 8th to 15th.

Jan 12-16 & 22-25 at HoJo. The 15th is my 40th birthday and I couldn't think if a better place to celebrate it!

January 12-19. Staying at the DLH.

I will be there Jan 8 - 15. My first trip to the US, my daughter's first trip to the US, and my sister's second time at DL!!! Staying at GCH.

Generally people who are interested and are going to be there during the same time designate a time and a place for a meet up. In the past I've met up with a few DIS'ers near a ride and all went on together (like POTC or JC). They can be as quick or as short as the individuals involved would like. It's always fun to put some faces to names around here.

There is a Diser who is moving to Australia next year who contacted us on the Australian thread. I let her know where my family would be eating dinner on our first night (the only night we have that crosses over) and she has made a booking for the same time at the same place. We have vague descriptions of each other's group, so if we are feeling brave on the night, we can introduce ourselves and meet-up!

That could be a lot of fun if you pluck up the courage. It can be intimidating meeting people, but I've had such wonderful experiences so far with the DIS'ers I have met.

haha we are leaving here to go to Disneyland on the 9th! & staying at the Ramada Maingate too! I got a really good deal on a room I was impressed!
Looks like we will just miss each other. Have a good time!!

We also got an great deal on the hotel. I've never seen the price that low at that hotel. The price went up the next day. Hope you have a good time too.

DH & I will be at the DLH 1/21 - 1/24 after the Panama cruise. Our first long vacation for just the two of us. We have a very special dinner set up on our last night to celebrate his birthday.

We are going to Napa Rose this trip. I wonder where I could find a winter menu. I can justify the expense taking the whole family, but I can take my two foodie daughters. It's going to be so much fun!
