Just got National with codes from mousesavers.
Ended up with midsize Jan 22 to 31 for $201.
Used link to visa card codes for free upgrade and 10% off.
This'll do til I find something better.

I just got a rate through priceline of $188 for a full size from 1230am Jan 21-10am Jan 31, so 11 days. I got National and the best price I could get through them was $380, so I'm happy.

I booked Alamo for next May for $214 for five days, for a fullsize.... I need to get from the cruise port in MIA up to WDW, that alone was going to be $55, so I decided to just keep the car for the whole time in WDW.

Glad you got the same rate; nice to know the info helped out, and especially a fellow Pennsylvanian! I was debating whether to just use Magical Express this trip, but with this price I'm just going with the rental car.

Update: I just reserved with National (Emerald Club) for $175 using the BJ's discount (1/22-1/29). This price is down $33 from when I initially reserved with them!

Alamo is still cheaper for my dates, but I think the difference is small enough that I will likely go with National and try for a bigger vehicle on the Emerald Aisle.

The visa deals require you to print a coupon. Here is a link to the mousesavers page. Go down to the Coupons section. There are two different visa offers. When you reserve using this deal, your level of service is "counter" so you have to check in at the counter before selecting your car, even if you are an Emerald Club member.

Still getting a better deal with National. It's been holding still for awhile now for January and would love to see a little movement downward. I've got a 2 weeks rental - full size/executive aisle. (Jan. 16 @ 11:30AM to Jan. 29@ 1:30PM) for $272 total. Using code 5007160 and the $40 entertainment coupon. I would love to get closer to $200, but I'm fine with this too. My base rate is $134 -- last year my base rate for the same time was $115.

Where do I find the Visa code?

Go to the mousesavers.com website, to the rental cars page and on the National part there will be a link to click through to a Visa page that gives you both codes. Hope this helps.

I need a car for this period of time... can anyone help me... the lowest rate I have found for a rental is Dollar with promo code OOAG economy or compact @ $231.82 total... Have checked mousesavers and fatwallet forums and can't find anything better...

base rate is due to the fact we are renting more than on week, if we were doing only one week the base jumps to 168, then with discount and entertainment 30$ code it comes to 155 that is if you rent it on the half hour, if it is the full hour it would be 268$

go figure.....rent on half hour is cheaper than on full hour

I hadn't even crunched the numbers to see how different the rates could be. Wow....I'm happy with my rate! I should try changing my 1/2 hours the next time I crunch numbers to see if the price changes. I'm using a $40 entertainment coupon since my rental is over 10 days!

I booked this when you posted it and got a great rate. I just rebooked it again with current deal on Alamo site and got a midsize for $107 for Jan 4th - 10th. The rate dropped about $45 from when I booked last time so others may want to check it out again.

Yes, another few dollars cheaper! Thanks for the heads up . . . I decided to cancel the ressie I had and book the midsize - only cost $7.00 more to bump up one car class, so I went for it. Thank you again!
