January 2009

Is your DD into reading? B/c the historical ones all have books to go with them, which I really loved when I was little. In fact, I've always loved colonial history, and part of the reason was that my first AG doll, Felicity, was from that time period! So if you think she would enjoy reading the books, a historical would be a good choice. One of the historicals, Samantha from the early 1900's is being retired soon, and a new historical (named Rebecca I think...and it sounds like she will be Jewish) is rumored to be coming out this summer.

She does love to read. I have all of Kirsten and Felicity's books that I'm going to let her read. I'll probably just let her pick out whichever doll she wants when the time comes. I'm a little sad that Samantha is being retired. I've always liked her.

I love Dart's shirt!

SO much to comment on in this thread-

1. The pictures of the from the forest are so incredibly beautiful!
2. You are certainly no hippo!:lmao: (Or an aligator.)
3. I love Mia's change of clothes. She's ready for a Florida winter!
4. You boots, like Mia's, are FAB-U-LOUS!
5. Work the princess poses.... You are fierce!
6. And finally, your hair looked so great with the big waves.princess: If we could all have hair like yours, maybe everyone would only take pictures from behind.

Emma,

Spectacular udpate as usual. :goodvibes What a beautiful forest you explored, the walk ways are so nice and it seems so peaceful there. We have a "cedar plank walk" nearby that we love to do here, it's just so quiet and fun to walk or run in Dart's case!! That's what my little ones would have been doing too!!:lmao:

Piggly Wiggly.....I never heard of them either until my sister moved to S.C. They always give the kids little plastic 'pig' rings at check out and the boys get a kick out of that!! LOL!! It's the little things in life, right?!

Loved your boots....I'm guessing those are you Uggs??!! They are adorable. And loved that you even updated us with your shoe change.....you can feel the temp changing already!!

Looking forward to the next update!!:surfweb:

wow that forest is so pretty, we have some forests like that at home, they're just gorgeous to walk through!! I know what you mean by fairy forest as well, I can totally relate! Infact I think in one of the stately homes/forests I was taken to when I was little the owners had made a whole section of the forest look like it was inhabited by fairies, I remember they had little houses and everything!!
Your boots are amazing, they look so warm! (are they the new pair of uggs you bought/were given that we chatted about?)
And as for the hotel looks like a fantastically snobbish place!! (meant in the nicest way possible of course!)

YAY! :yay: Another glorious snob report! :woohoo: I hope I don't get too far behind while I am on my own trip to Disney! Loving it so far, Emma! Great job as always! Can't wait to hear more! :thumbsup2

Your hike looked wonderful. What a great idea to visit a State park. That resort is gorgeous! Great report so far.

That resort looks so nice!

Ahh the beach...and palm trees...warmth! Missing all those things right now.

Thanks for the great update.

Well, wasn't Mia having a fabulous hair day! I love the braid. :thumbsup2

You had me at 'There were palm trees whispering in the soft morning light.' :goodvibes

Another incredible update!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

You always are able to get such artistic photos with you AG dolls or your buffalo, I can't remember what his name was. :faint: Anyways, great photos! You are really making me want to a take a winter trip down to Florida.

Emma's back! One of my favorite Diser's!

Off to a great start! Can't wait for more!
