January 2009 Question

Last November (2007), I booked a vacation for 2 at a value resort during the week after MLK (we showed up on MLK day). At this time, there was a special where the value & moderate resorts were very inexpensive (see below). The package below was only $928.92.

Check in 01/21/2008 for 6 nights 2 Adults

Does anybody know if this sort of package deal is available every year, and if so, when does this package go on sale?

Typically there is a January February offer each year.. the exact offer can vary. Historically these offers are available for booking by the the end of the first week of November.

Moving this one over to the Codes & Rates sub-board from the Resorts and Booking Board. It's a better fit there than here on themeparks.

I could be wrong since I am not a dis expert, just someone traveling to WDW in Jan, but I believe I read on one of the other sites that the January "specials" have historically become available in Oct. of the year prior. These specials are at the sole discretion of WDW, and may or may not be offered the next year. I also read that last year discount room rates were offered during the Jan. time period to Annual Pass holders and to Disney Visa card holders, so I signed up to get the Disney Visa Card for free. There is a link on the WDW web page and another link on Mousesavers to apply. If you check Mousesavers, they have a historical listing of past deals. Good luck on your trip!

I just signed up for the Dis Visa too...I hope it gets me a discount I really want to upgrade to CR tower MK view for our Jan 2009 trip
