WOO HOO!!!!! CHECK OUT MY TICKER!!!!!!​

DH and I had a big Disney talk this weekend and we are going to make January 2010 happen!!! I'm going to be a Snowbird again! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself!!!!!

We will have to have a snowbird reunion! We really want to go back for the last week in January 2010 as well! I think we will make it happen, just want to wait a bit longer before committing to a ticker!

That's going to be my argument with DH. "But honey . . . the baby will still be free!" It's going to take a lot of convincing but I've got DS on my side. Usually he's able to talk Daddy into anything

I told you dh wants to go back at Christmas this time--4/3 would be great! BUT....I think crowds will be pretty large. I also like to get Christmas behind us,so we can focus on what it's really about. then take a Disney trip! but, if that's what he wants to do....maybe if we do 4/3 we can stay LONGER!!!!

How is everyone enjoying their weekend so far?

So, I just finished up making some rice krispie treats and it had me thinking about Disney (and the 25 Mickey Heads I had on our last trip )

DH doesn't know it yet, but I've decided that i'm planning a trip for October, 2010. I don't care what I have to do to make it happen . . . it will happen.

The baby will be 11 months by that time, which in my opinion, is a fine time to experience the magic of Disney for the first time!

I have been having serious Disney withdrawal the last several weeks and am starting to obsess about it

Those of you who are going in January, have you started booking your room-only packages yet? What about ADR's? I'm so jealous.

I think our easiest trip was when Keaton we 9 months old. He couldn't walk so he was prefectly content in the stroller or the front carrier. I would use the babyswap time to feed or change him while waiting for the others. Now he just wants to run and refuses to get in the stroller unless his over-the-weight-limit brother is in there too.

I remember getting so many "opinions" about my kids "not remembering" the trips...I'd just tell them that I'LL remember-their reactions, their interactions with the characters, THE MAGIC...and it just gives me another excuse to go again! Who says Disney is a once in a lifetime trip?

Good evening everyone. Hope you all had a good week.

So, after talking to my friend tonight about going in August and it sounds like it's a GO!!!!!!!!!!! . Nothing written in stone yet, but her uncle is looking into some dates around my birthday for us to see what he can get. The deals apparently change weekly, and he gets informed of the deals 3 months in advance. So we are hoping for a Deluxe resort with at least 40% off!

For those of you doing the birthday thing this year, how does this work? Do you have to book a package?

*I'm trying not to get my hopes up! But I really, really, REALLY want to go! Here's to hoping and praying...

As for the birthday thing, I've been researching it for my trip. I went to the Disney website and registered my birthday. You just fill it out with name, address, birhtdate, etc. You print it out (it just shortens the time filling out paperwork at the window) and bring valid I.D. (license, passport, etc) to the Will Call window at any park on your actual birthday. If you have a pkg that includes tickets, you'll get a birthday fun card for the amount of a one day park ticket. If you don't have a pkg or don't alreay have tickets, you'll get in free on your birthday. I hope this answers your question!

Speaking of birthdays...I started a new PTR for my birthday trip! I'm so excited!

It was my dh's birthday when we went this past Jan. and it was super easy. His ticket was already included in the package so we chose the Bday Fun Card. I registered online ahead of time, we went to the will call window, showed his license and happily spent the $75 on hats and souvenirs for the kids.

We went in 2004 when my first was only 6 months and it was wonderful. He loved it eventhough he won't remember it except through pictures. My favorite memory from the trip was him trying to eat Piglet's ear while we snapped a picture at Crystal Palace. I say go for it...baby will be free!!! That's part of my argument for us returning this January. My dd will be 3 in February so if we go in Jan then she's still free!

Yes, we should plan a meet first! Then everyone can make their trip/park plans around the Snowbird Meet!

I only met 3 Snowbirds this year. I really thought I was going to meet more but it just didn't work out.

This time we are staying at ASMovies. If we want to go it has to be value (unless Disney sends out some great deals ) I don't care where we sleep as long as we're in Disney.

We loved the last week of Jan! It was crowded Sat-Mon (but still not as crowded as when we went in Oct or July) and then the crowds were really low! We're hoping for the same thing again this time around.

I have a feeling I already know the answer to this but...are you staying at CBR again?

And DH and I have decided this trip will be a Christmas surprise for the kids. It will be tough not spilling the beans before then!

Actually we probably won't be staying at CBR. As much as we love it, we do love to try new things! We are hoping to be able to go deluxe, but to do that we may end up doing a split at a deluxe/moderate. So I guess we could end up at CBR for half the trip! It will just depend on the deals/codes that come out. If it's another 4/3 deal, then we would just stay at one resort. So we'll see. . .

Good luck with your surprise! It is very hard, but very worth it in the end!!

Did you see my surprise thread? I can dig it up for you if you want, it might give you some ideas. It sure was fun to surprise them!! But I don't think I'd be able to do it again!

Good evening everyone. Hope you all are having a better day than I am. I interviewed last week for the Dept. Head at work. It's doing exactly what I am already doing, but having a title now, not just "peon". However, I found out today...after literally hunting down my boss, that they hired someone outside the company that has absolutely no experience in this field.
Me: um, Ok I guess.
Boss: Well Jessica (supervisor = very vindictive and manipulative ) knows this woman because she worked with her and she babysits for her child now, so she says she'll be good at it.
Me: Ummmm. Ok. So just to make sure I have this straight, because I am already doing this job, I don't get the title or anything that goes with it. But this woman who knows nothing about it, but does know Jessica, gets it.
Boss: Ok well it doesn't sound right when you say it like that.

So before I leave then my boss calls me into the office to tell me that they are looking at a position for me because I'm always at work, I'm always willing to pick up any shifts I can, I know what I'm doing, always help my fellow co-workers, blah...blah...blah. He just doesn't know what type of a position it would be however.

Ugh...I just feel rather worthless at the moment. Thanks for letting me rant...
