We missed you! So glad you had an awesome trip!

I can't wait to do TSM! So does everyone run there at opening now instead of to RNRC/TOT?

What about Fantasmic, did you have the package? I was planning to go around 6:20, but we have the package.

So you didn't meet any Snowbirds??? Bummer Has anyone met another Snowbird yet?

Thanks! TSM was great. Yup, at rope drop, most of the crowd heads to TSM.

We did not have the package for Fantasmic. I am not sure how the package works, if they save a section? I just know the place was PACKED with people already at 6:20.

OMG.... are you excited..... can't believe the trips are almost here.... I want to see photos.... take lots of them..... have a wonderful time.....

I am so excited!! I can't get wait to leave and really have some time to relax and have fun and just have some time to myself and to enjoy the happiest place on Earth!!

Another good note is that I won't have to go through the Disney Blues when I return because I know exactly when I'm going back and have already booked it LOL!!!!!! (I really am addicted) LOL!!!!

I will take tons of pictures and with the addition of a traveling companion a few of the day I will get a lot of pictures of me in them too which is way too exciting for me!! I'm going to have the best scrapbook of Disney Yet!!!!

Morning! It's the rare occassion that I have a few minutes before I actually have to leave for work. I'm usually 15 minutes late, but couldn't sleep.

Non-Disney question: Do any of your kids have problems with nightmares? Keaton (the 2 1/2 yr old) has woken up crying about 5 out of the last 8 nights. This morning, the first thing he said when I went in his room was "Dinosaurs get me." I guess I thought that was too young? He goes right back to sleep when I put him in our bed. Am I being manipulated or could he really be having nightmares? BTW: I'm going matress shopping today to get him a big boy bed so I'll have somewhere to sleep!!

Post card stamps...thanks! My list keeps getting longer and longer and longer and I can't seem to get ANYthing crossed off!
How much does it cost to mail a postcard these days, anyway?

My latest panic...well, background info first, we're going to be moving this summer--DH is military so this is not a surprise--and we're planning to rent out our house here (we bought it 2.5 years ago for a lot more than it would sell for now ). We posted it "For Rent By Owner" and have received a few inquiries about it, which is encouraging. However, someone is going to be in from out of town and wants to come see it...next week when we're at WDW! And someone else wants to see it...the day we get back! Now, I like to have the house clean when we go on vacation so we don't come home to a dirty house, but this time it needs to be "model home tidy", without all the clutter that we've become so used to. I can't complain, because I really am glad that we've had some interest in the house this far in advance, but I'm stressing over getting the house in shape before we go. Sorry to vent on you!

congrats!!!Maybe you will get a good renter while you are on vacation!!! Maybe you would want to pay someone to come and clean-just this once since you are planning a trip.

Thanks for asking! It is an acrylic painting that my daughter painted a couple of years ago. It is from the perspective of when you are standing near the entrance to the Living Seas in EPCOT, with a closeup of the bautiful flowers and the monorail and the ball in the background. It is one of my favorite paintings.

Jen - when is your next trip? I know you talked about going in December. Did you book already? We're looking at around Thanksgiving. I know the parks will be crowded, but we can go on a three-day cruise for $99 per person and want to add a few days at the parks to see the Christmas stuff. Thanksgiving would be the best for missing the least amount of school - we think! Have no idea what the school calendar would be yet, and can't book the bounceback until April. How can people plan so far ahead??? Oh well, it will give me something to do after we get back from this trip!

Nope...my December one is being taken care of by my dad and he's still doing some research with mom and which resort she wants to stay at!!! I'm letting him do all the planning for us so I can have a bit of a break (bah by summer I'm sure I will have fanagled my way into the planning stages LOL).

I'm going before that LOL ( I have to take advantage of living in Florida and having an AP LOL). I'm going to announce my dates in my TR!! But I'm very excited about it!! As Phillip asked me last night...too much DIsney anyone?? Nope not me LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as far as the little kids go.... what we always did with our kids was stick in their pocket an index card with our names and phone numbers on it... we also would tell them if they get lost to just stop and sit down and we would find them. They shouldn't walk around trying to find us. Luckily we never lost them... but it always made me feel better....

when they were a little older and we would let them leave together (the two kids)... it was always with the rules they had to stay together and that we would meet at certain place at a certain time. And if they got there before us just sit and wait... don't look for us....

now... we try to lose them...... just kidding.... we have such a wonderful time traveling with them... we are very fortunate our kids like to spend time with us still... I know when I was a teenager I couldn't wait to get away from my parents...

We started talking about this last night, and my daughter started freaking out at the possibility. I was showing her a cast member name tag on the Disney vacation video, and told her if she ever couldn't find us, that she should go to someone with a nametag like that. Then I told her she'll have to memorize our phone numbers, or carry a piece of paper with them and call us. We'll get into those details during the drive and when we get there, I think. For DS, he'll definitely have a laminated card in his pocket at all times, or something small tied to his shoe, since he has an Autism Disorder, he won't know what to do without us. I think we're going to work really hard to hang onto both of them at all times!

Happy Tuesday Afternoon Birdies!

Well, my little sicko from yesterday was up at 730 this morning dressed and ready to go to school! No lingering effects from yesterdays barffest! She ate a hearty breakfast and got dressed in her snowsuit in record time! She was so excited to get to school that she had her car door open before I had even stipped the car!

Hope everyone is having a great day! We are in the midst of another cold snap up here! Right now it is -24C with the wind it is -40C! I don't care what anybody else says about the weather in WDW! It will be HOT to me! I will be swimming for sure!

Well I will start a trip report tomorrw when my hubby goes back to work (once I have some free time ) but I will say this..........since we were there for 2 weeks we were able to do a ton of stuff.

I just got done looking at one weather site that told me its going to feel in the lower 40s upper 30s one night in Orlando....SWIMMING..you are looney tooney Kim!!!!!! I may have packed my swimsuit but I'm telling you all now the suitcase is where its going to stay..I'm starting to think I'm not going to need any short sleeve shirts LOL!!!

The one thing I'm worried a bit about is I don't want all my pictures of me to be in my hubby's UAA jacket...I wonder if I can find a light windbreaker or a sweatshirt type jacket at World of Disney...I'm hoping so! I have cute shirts I have to show off LOL!!!

Yay for your little one! I sent mine to school today and it's the end of lunch for her and I've heard nothing, so I'm hoping all is well.
We have the cold too - coming right from you I'm sure! The high today is supposed to hit a balmy -4F. it's not super windy, but the windchills are about -25F. No recess for the kids today!! I am so glad I brought my lunch to work (I usually do) because no way was I going out to get anything!! Days like this I miss the old cafeteria we used to have here.
I just keep thinking - two weeks from now I will have enjoyed my breakfast with Pooh and be enjoying a yummy aloha treat (the name of which escapes me at the moment) and wandering my kingdom!

There's always some sort of jackets or sweatshirts! Last trip we bought one for DD5 because the one she brought "bothered" her arm and she wouldn't wear it. It's a super cute hooded sweatshirt jacket. Wish it fit me!

We are leaving early Sunday morning and had to make a few changes in our plans. The WL CL rooms were not available for the 4/3 deal, so instead of paying rack rate for the room, we switched to the Poly and got the 4/3 deal Very excited about that, it will be our first stay at the Poly!

A new sweatshirt (non-hooded) is one of the few things that I plan to buy this year. It is a necessity. My last one is falling apart -it's from about 8 or 9 years ago!

Speaking of which - did everyone make their list of "stuff to buy"? I am worried I will forget about my Mickey cookie cutter and ornament! Must write everything down!

I'd be pretty comfortable with that change! I've always wanted to stay at the Poly, so you'll have to let us know how you like it! I have to believe that the monorail would be so handy! We stayed at the Contemporary once and it was so convenient.

Here is my list of things to buy: Mickey watch (my old one broke and cannot be repaired), Mickey cookie cutter, 2009 Christmas Ornaments, A hoody sweater, and a couple of t-shirts!

Here's a question...Has anyone purposely underpacked with the intention of buying "souvenir" clothing to wear while at WDW? My Dh is actually encouraging me to do this! I was never a girl scout but I do like to be prepared. I am a classic overpacker! I have been trying to pack less for this trip, but with the unpredictable weather, I am just a bit unsure!
