January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part V

I AM HAVING FOOTWEAR ISSUES!!!!!! :scared1:

ok, so I just went down to the basement to get out the summer shoe bin! I pulled out all the shoes that we might possibly bring with us. I am going to wear my runners and bring my sandals in my carryon. DH only wears runners so no problem there. The girls however, this is another story! :confused3

For each girl I have set out 4 PAIRS OF SHOES! :scared1: sandals, flips, crocs and runners. MY DH will have a coranary if I pack all those shoes! I don't know which ones to pack and which to leave! Runners are a must, but I can't decide which of the others to bring - sandals, crocs or flips? They are ALL PINK so colour isn't an issue.

For those of you who have had girls at Disney before, what did you take?

Me. I feel the same way. I've been told my many a wise DISer that doing a TR helps keep the magic alive. Are you doing one?

I have never done one before but I'm seriously considering it now. Thats a great idea. I love Disney so much and I know after this trip is over its time to settle down and do the whole get married, buy a house, have kids thing and I'm not sure when I'll get back again. (Probably not until our honeymoon) PS. I'm not officially engaged yet but I'm thinking he's going to propose while we're at Disney...that would be the most amazing thing ever!!

Trixie...me too... but he has grown 4 inches since summer.... he is 6ft tall and about 140 lbs.....he actually looks good in shorts.... long legs....

well ladies... I think I am going to hop over to the TGM site and print out my touring plans (although I think I know them by heart)... that way I can laminate them and get them in my passporter.......

another tip......

I print out the menus for all of the counter service places for the parks we are going to... then I stick them in my bag.... then when it is time for lunch we sit and take a look at them and decide where to go..... it beats walking all over looking at the menu and then walking to someplace else....

Do you make them smaller so they can fit!!! I have my passporter but I'm not sure I will take it into the parks that day ...I'm going to have a notebook file to help keep me organized!!

I will have arrived at AKV, checked in, and found my Studio ready and waiting for me. Then off to the pool or MK! :yay:

Megan... you sound like my DD....she has two drawers full of flip flops... every color, style you could imagine....

Ah. A girl after my own heart! To me, flip flops are the most superior of all footwear. :thumbsup2 I love them so much!

I know this has probably been talked about already, but I just can't believe my vacation is so close now. All the planning, DISing, worrying, booking, rebooking, unbooking, waiting for codes...its just all been such a crazy ride and its almost over. I know I should be excited because its almost time to go, but I can't help but think...." what do I do when I get home?" Does anyone else feel this way? I'm so happy for everyone who is down there and who is going in the near future. It's been a great ride and I'm so glad you guys kept this thread going for us January Snowbirds. Even my boyfriend makes me check on here and see if there's anything new going on. He even makes me sign in so he can look at my ticker everyday to see how many days are left. A great big thanks to everyone who posted here, I got so many planning ideas and it really helped build the excitement, even though I didn't actually post to this thread, you can be sure that I've been reading everday! So, a great big thanks and good luck to everyone on this thread!!! Have a magical time everyone!!! :cool1:

I'm always sad when I come home from any vacation. I decided that I'm going to make a scrapbook of this trip (which I've never done) and I'm definately going to do a TR. I'm so glad you've been reading along with us all this time! Have a great trip (and I hope you come back engaged!).

I did the same thing. That way, if we're in line and starting to get hungry, we can pull them out and decide where to go. I don't know how to make them small enough for my passporter though.

I'm another huge scrapbooker!! I love to make the scrapbook and relive my great memories...I will also be making a TR...so I have to agree with all of these ideas!!

I will be scrapbooking for the first time for this trip. I'm kinda nervous especially now that you guys already have started yours! :lmao: I didn't think I had anything to start!

LOL...so is mine...if you count the title page!! I'm actually going to be working on more of it Friday night!

I only have the title page done so far too. I think I am going to put pictures of the Christmas morning surprise on the first few pages.
