Well DD just spent $40 of her Disney $$ we just went to mousepinsonline & ordered a 50 piece grab bag. When they get here we will go through them & if there are any we want to keep leave them here & take the rest with. I pitched in half cause I think I might want to trade too this year. Plus DS might do it to. We will buy our lanyards when we get there.

Wow I really feel like its really happening now. Trip is paid for, ADR's made, pins bought!:dance3: :yay:

I didn't know there was one in the Lancaster area. . . Everytime we are out that way (Hershey, Strasburg) we eat at Isaac's. Ever go there? Love that place, it's so neat! :goodvibes Too bad there aren't any around here.

I love Isaac's! They have a similar menu to one from a place in the town where I went to college, so it brings back great memories when I eat there!

I would if he had been driving like one. The problem is that &*%# doe came up out of the ditch & ran straight into the passenger side of the car. Her head hit the windshield & her body broke both my doors!! Plus she left fur & slobber marks all over the place as she bounced down the side of the car. Got the entire right hand side! At least I can still drive it. Course the kids can't open the doors but oh well. It goes to the body shop next week.

EWWW... :rotfl: I can laugh at stuff now, but 6 years ago when we hit a deer that decided to take a jog across the interstate during rush hour, it wasn't so funny. We took the car through the car wash after getting the estimate, and I still couldn't get the dog away from it!!!! :rotfl:

Hi Everyone,

So, that brings me to a QOTD. Are you planning to allocate spending money to your children, or do you wing it? Do you put a limit on winging it? DS will be easy to manage, so I won't have to "match" DDs spending money, but he will have the $100 from grandma, too. I'm hoping DH and I get money from Grandma, too?!?! :thumbsup2

Our DS has been earning Disney Dollars throughout the year. I figure he'll have about $80 from that. Plus, I know Santa is bringing him $20 for his stocking. So, he'll have about $100. Like Shelly, we'll buy shirts, snacks, etc., - this can be his "fun" money. He did really well last year not asking for everything he saw (I don't think we spent very much on souvies last year :scared1: ), so I know he'll do well again this year.

QOTD- Today, I went onto allears and printed off some (ok, a lot!) of menus. I put them in a folder with the clasps. That way, we can just pull out the folder while we're in line and figure out what we want for lunch or dinner. I only printed out the menus that interested me, but there were still quite a lot of them! I put dividers in there to separate each park and DTD. I haven't told my DH yet and when I do, I know he'll think that I'm crazy! I don't have any more planning to do, so I had to do something!

Well, I'm off to teach ballet for a few hours. Be back later!

Well, call me crazy because I did the same thing! I have my Disney binder with all the menu's we'll probably use (and some I'd like to try) in clear sheet protectors! I've got the park hrs, parade and firework times, closures, a map of our hotel, a printout of hotel info...Yes I'm a geek!!! But I love it. This is my happy place!

I've never heard of that place! We'll have to check that out! Drew did pin trading last year and we'll have to get Keaton a lanyard or he'll fight for Drew's. Spoiled rotten!!

I just got my ME tags and booklet for the "What will you Celebrate?" promo!! The booklet came with my vouchers that are included in my 4/3 package and pretty luggage tags.

On other news...in ONE MONTH I'LL BE IN WDW!! :wizard:

I'm thinking my boys will want to do this. They are very "hands on"! They've already done the "Build you own Lightsaber" and the "Stuff your own Pirate Skull", so this will be right up their alley!

Oooohhhh please tell me where the Stuff your own Pirate Skull is.....My son loves pirates. Although the thought of my 3 year old stuffing a pirate skull is a little creepy!

QOTD: My ds has been saving all of the money he gets from his grandma for disney. She always gives him all of her spare change from the week and I kid you not he has over $130 and that is just from September. Honestly I dont think my 3 year old needs that kind of money for disney so I might take half of it and put it into his savings account.

Speaking of eye candy...I think I forgot someone's request for Brendan a while back. I hope you're still around, sorry.

Can you share the link?
Thank you for posting that link...I had no clue how to do it...but so glad you shared it with everyone.

Sounds like some good "road kill" venison jerkey:lmao:
I think I'm going to make a countdown calendar for the boys also, probably starting the day after Christmas. Do any of you creative Snowbirds have any great ideas for me? Any pictures?
No pictures...but I'm making my DD's a count down from the Mickey paint chips from Home Depot..they come in a bunch of different colors. I have them 1-30 and then they take one off each day a month before our trip.

I have told family that Disney Dollars would be great for my girls. Last trip, they each had $75 each. My DD12 bought a women's small sweatshirt that was over $40 alone, so it was perfect for her to buy what she wanted. DD9 bought Marie from Aristocats...even though she has a TON of stuffed animals, I could/would not complain...it was her money. I prefer the Disney Dollars on the credit cards for sake of carrying as well.

I thought about putting Drew's money on a gift card, but since he's just learning the concept of money, I think that might be too "vague" for him. He almost needs a wad of single dollars so he can understand that with each thing, he has to give them X amount of dollars. Not sure yet how we'll do it!

I'm also a menu printer offer LOL!! I have all my menus printed and have highlighted the choices I really wanted to try so I'll just have to narrow it down the closer we get to my trip LOL!!!

Ok,ok.... yeah I have been watching this site........ but that sight, OMG. Thank you, I really needed that!!! I am a snowbird, Going 1/24-1/31 to POP. Solo!!!! Bought and paid for. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, DH doesn't think I'm even going, silly man! He is going to Speed Week 1 week later "with the guys". So this is my answer, Going to the world! DD14 can't believe that I won't take her out of school for another week this year (ain't happening). This is too much fun for me to pass up! And too good of a deal. Hope there is some sort of DIS meet around there. Can't wait to see some of the people I have read on here!

Not sure exactly where it is now, but it used to be at Mouse Gear in Epcot, World of Disney at DTD, and in the Pirate store after the POTC ride. pirate: It's not creepy at all, it's very cute!

I too am going SOLO in January YAY!!! My DH WONT go with me Disney is not his happy place LOL!! However I'm going the week before you!! Hope you have a great trip!!

QOTD: I'm 24 and I think $300 is a bit much to have as spending money.:rotfl: I will be paying for my own meals so most of my money will go to that. I'm also a rather "cheap" person. I really don't like spending money on myself. If I spend a max of $75 on myself the whole time, that's a lot.

But here's a question for ya....Is Animal Kingdom still doing the donations to the "Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund"? They did it this past Jan. by one of the shops just outside the safari. When you donate any amount you get a pin to wear. So, would you be able to convince her to donate some of her money to that? I'm not saying to donate like half of it, but even $50/75. Just an option....good luck!

Well good evening snowbirds! I've had a busy day. I've been wide awake since 3:15am. I worked from 5am-1:30pm, ran home - showered and changed, then left my house at 2:30 for Trans Siberian Orchestra at 4pm. **I can now say that I am truly in the Christmas spirit!!!*** Then my friend and I went to Olive garden for dinner.

Perhaps one of the best moments of my day came just a few minutes ago however. I got home and was looking through the mail and noticed something from Disney. I GOT THE 2009 PLANNING DVD!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: I'm floored! I need to get sleep or I'd watch it now, but that would just get me all hyper, and then I wouldn't sleep and yeah it wouldn't be good. But you can bet that I'll be watching it tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Have a great night everyone!
