I'm SO JEALOUS that you got your 2009 planning video:worship: ...please tell us how it was after you watched it...and how many changes they have added with the Celebrate promotion.

I see that they are starting the new "What will you Celebrate" parade during my stay...should be interesting to see the new changes.

Well, I'm off to the couch to watch some HGTV House Hunters International...love those house hunting shows...maybe because I didn't ever get a chance to buy one. We built and will die in this house. Until tomorrow after I get home from the inmates....

Hi, all! Just checkin' in! We are so close to going to Disney!!! I can't believe it!

And I fly to the US in just 4 days! Life here is insane! Honestly...crazy! But, good. We're tying up loose ends and making sure everything is ready. I just wish I could hop on the plane today!

So, fill me in! What'd I miss? What's everyone's news? What are all of our countdowns???

Hello there Carrie!!! I'm pretty sure that you're countdown right now is the biggest one of all! I can not imagine the excitement that you must be going through!

Well I'm off to bundle myself up to head off to work. Then running out to my church so I can sit through the school's Christmas Program that I am recording on Sunday night. Then back home to watch the 2009 planning DVD!!!!!!!! I'm so excited! Have a great day everyone!

Oooohhhh please tell me where the Stuff your own Pirate Skull is.....My son loves pirates. Although the thought of my 3 year old stuffing a pirate skull is a little creepy!

Like Shelly said - I know there's one in the shop at the exit of POTC.

Carrie - we've missed you!!!!! Yikes - 4 days!!!! How excited you must be!!!

Good morning all! I have to work today, but not until 10:15. Weird. I usually work at 9, so it's strange to be sitting here on the computer right now.

Well, call me crazy because I did the same thing! I have my Disney binder with all the menu's we'll probably use (and some I'd like to try) in clear sheet protectors! I've got the park hrs, parade and firework times, closures, a map of our hotel, a printout of hotel info...Yes I'm a geek!!! But I love it. This is my happy place!

I will be printing out touring plans once we get closer to our dates and they have the parks hours, parade times, etc on them. I'm LOVING all this WDW planning! I put in an order for the 2009 planning dvd, so I hope that comes soon!

Ok,ok.... yeah I have been watching this site........ but that sight, OMG. Thank you, I really needed that!!! I am a snowbird, Going 1/24-1/31 to POP. Solo!!!! Bought and paid for. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, DH doesn't think I'm even going, silly man! He is going to Speed Week 1 week later "with the guys". So this is my answer, Going to the world! DD14 can't believe that I won't take her out of school for another week this year (ain't happening). This is too much fun for me to pass up! And too good of a deal. Hope there is some sort of DIS meet around there. Can't wait to see some of the people I have read on here!

Welcome! You have the exact same dates as me and my family! Woo hoo! We're at 44 days!

Good morning Snowbirds! :cool1: :cool1:

As my DH said- our weather is crazier than Illinois politics.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey Meghan, which Nintendo games did you get for your DD? My niece is the same age and is also getting a DS for Christmas, so I thought a game would be a good gift idea. My 10 and 8 year old boys are no help in choosing a game for a 6 year old girl. :sad2: (LOL, I had it worded differently that you were getting a DS for Christmas, and it sounded like your daughter was going to have a little brother! :) )

Goodmorning everyone!!!! :surfweb: I'm drinking my sweet tea and trying not to freeze! It is very cold here! I woke up this morning and realized that this the last peaceful week I have until Disney World.

13-DSAudri graduates from Nursing School.
17- Singles Party @ church (G is leading worship. I'm not going to hang out with singles. )
19- Staff Christmas Party #1
20- Wedding
21-Staff Christmas Party #2
24-Christmas Eve Service
25-Christmas

Ugh! I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

It's so great to hear from you! We've all been wondering how you've been doing.

Hmm, what's my new countdown?
12/16: staff holiday party
12/16: post-op appointment with the surgeon (yes, after the party)
12/18: exams end and any remaining students and faculty scatter to the four corners of the earth
12/24: last day of work!
12/25: Chrismtas!
12/28: Mom's birthday
12/31: MIL's birthday/New Year's Eve
1/2: alas, back to work
1/4: my 32nd birthday!
1/8: absolute latest anyone can turn in anything for the federal grant due date
1/9: FLORIDA HERE WE COME!

Wow, it looks so quiet! I've finished my Christmas shopping and wrapped everything that needs to be shipped. I just need to get another box for my brother & SIL's stuff. Of course, DH hasn't even started his side of the family (his parents, his brother, his SIL), though I did pick up more baby Michigan clothing for our niece. Heehee.

I think I'm feeling better (but I need a lot more sleep). I'm hoping my cookie baking mojo returns this weekend because it's generally one of my favorite things to do for the holidays... but it's too much work if I'm not into it!

I did get invited to a stitching party this weekend, but I'm on the fence... with my health, with my need for sleep, with the fact that I don't have a car to get there

I'm also going to call Disney today and see about ordering a special cake. We have a family dinner on the 11th where we decided we'd "celebrate" Mom's and mine birthday and my mom REALLY wants a cake. It'll be expensive and too much cake but, well, oh well. No one but DH ever celebrates my birthday with me so it'll be a nice change! Anyone have experience with this?

Good morning Snowbirds. :goodvibes

Another cold day here in PA. I just got home from our PTO Christmas breakfast. It was nice to sit and visit with everyone.

Not too much else going on around here today.

Morning Snowbirds:wave2:

I am kicking myself this morning. I drove all the way to the Disney Store this morning and found out they are out of Disney Dollars!!!! I'm so mad at myself for not going earlier! I told my kids Santa isn't bringing much since he's bringing Disney money for us to go to WDW. Now Santa can't get them! I got a gift card but my son is 4 and gets the concept of dollar bills better than a gift card. :sad2:

Can you get the Disney Dollars online? Or is it just gift cards online?

That's what I was thinking.
However, I looked and while there is one site that sells Disney Dollars, I think they're selling them as collector's items, because they're not a dollar each. Did you ask when they'll be getting more in, if at all?

As for yesterday's QOTD: On our last trip we each got a $50 Disney Gift Card in our stockings. That was it. If we wanted to spend any more money than that, it had to be our own money.
I think the only exception was my sister lost her gift card, and my parents bought her something. My youngest brother also got a little extra, because he was collecting coin necklaces from each park, and he was a little short. They're the two youngest though. The rest of us are perfectly capable of working for spending money.
One of my brother's didn't even spend his Gift Card. We found it a little while back, and used it to buy stuff from the Disney Store.
We're not really spendy kids... we just enjoy being at Disney. The reason I ended up spending my Gift Card was because I had it, and I wanted to get Logan a present while we were there. I got myself a hat as well, but I probably would not have gotten it, if I didn't have the gift card.
Of course we're all pretty old, soo we're pretty much past the point of seeing something and throwing a fit if we don't get it.

Wow I can't believe how slow this thread is moving these days. I remember when everyone thought we'd be on Part 5 before Christmas!

On part 3 we were to 130 pages in like 10 days! :yay:
This time it took us over 3 weeks! :scared1:
