Mindy - to you! Early detection and treatment is so great, as you know! Your family is in our prayers.

Bella - Your post made me laugh because I kept imagining what that guy would do if you, in turn, treated him as if he were very elderly. Maybe you should try that next time...be sure to speak extra loudly and clearly in case he has age-related hearing loss...

It is crazy cold here in Memphis. When we moved here I the hot summers would mean milder winters, but nope. Next week will be a challenge as we're having the walls replaced in our den (taking down panelling, then insulating and having sheetrock hung). It is going to be COLD and DH will be gone on a golf trip. Nice. Love dealing with all of the workmen by myself! Oh, and we're having the windows replaced too. I'll just keep reminding myself that the room won't (hopefully) be so drafty. Of course, that's where the big TV, movies and Wii are, so I'll likely lose my mind all week (sad commentary on my life, isn't it?!)

Did anyone else see (or Tivo) the Fan's guide to WDW that was on the Travel Channel yesterday? I'm guessing more than a few Disers were represented. It was fun - but dated! (Talked about Priority Seating, 90 days for reservations at CRT, and other now-incorrect things).

Today is a very exciting day for me! In exactly 45 days I will be in Disney World! So excited!

AND as if that were not reason enough to celebrate, I just called Disney CRO and had the Room Only code OZI applied to my first and last nights and saved 58 dollars!

Sorry I haven;t been around much! Life just keeps getting more and more crazy lately! Sometimes I feel as though I am just stumbling through my days! I take solace in the fact there are only 10 more school days until Christmas Break AND 44 more days until we start our vacation!

You're right - it is crazy cold here today but beautifully sunny. I'm trying to convince myself that taking Rowdy on a long walk will not make my throat hurt more.

And I DVRd that fan special, too. I started watching it -- someone mentioned that she uses a few websites and I wondered if this was one of them. It was dated - I saw 2004 on someone's planning notebook.

Sorry I have not posted more here - I lurk but you all go so quickly that it's hard to keep up....but I definitely want to!

I know I've said this before, but my biggest pet peeve is when people talk down to me as if I am a teenager.

I just had a man walk in and I'm pretty sure he is younger than my husband. He gave me the "Goodmorning, Young Lady" business and then baby talked me. UGH!

Okay...this totally rang a bell w/ me, b/c I've been having people think that I'm 18 or 19 lately. I don't get it, b/c I know I don't dress like a teenager, but I believe it is the fact that I just started wearing glasses for the first time. They cover the little wrinklies in the corners of my eyes and it shaved ten years off of my face according to some folks.

So, just go out and buy a cute pair of glasses if you want to look young!!
Forget the expensive surgeries or wrinkle lotion potions, just get some glasses

It can be quite annoying when I am at work and mention something about my two girls. Some people will act shocked and won't believe that I have kids, or that I was extrordinarily young when I had them. Nope......just the glasses!!!
