QOTD- I just got gas today and it was $2.38/gallon. Yup, WNY has the highest gas prices in the country. They're always talking about it on the local news. I'm looking at all of the prices you ladies have been posting and I'm so jealous!

Soleil-So sorry to hear your sad news. My mom's best friend lost her husband in 2003 very suddenly. He was only 38yrs old. He was like an uncle to me.

Sharadoc-My heart goes out to your DD. What a horrible punishment for using a pen. A pen of all things!!! What is with some people?

Sharadoc... I think you handled the situation well. I would want to know more information though. Did they do something crazy with the pen- write on something they weren't supposed to? Is the pen worth a million or a precious antique? Then I could see cause for a little discipline but not that much geesh!

I'm still on the fence with the Crocs. I want the warm fuzzy ones for now because it's cold here but I agree that they may be too toasty in FL. Is it a big fashion No No to wear them with socks?

Thanks - I have probed a lot about the pen and apparently they didn't do anything with it. I think I'm going to have to discuss it with her (the Mom).

As far as sock with Crocs, I think it IS a fashion faux-pas to wear them with socks, but who cares? I think it's great - I'm shopping for different color socks so they show through the holdes

Echoing the sorrow to Soleil's coworker - life is SO short, and so sad when those left behind have to deal with that kind of shock.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not a Crocs girl, but I am in no way going to judge or look down upon a person who wears them (As I have seen some do on these boards- on other threads, of course. We are nice very kind and thoughtful here. )

You wear whatever you feel comfortable in and if it is fuzzy purple crocks and socks with pumpkins on them - more power to you, sister! Not to sound like a cornball, but it is what is on the inside that truly matters.... and with Disney it's what your feet will allow you to get away with.

We did at DHS a few years ago! I think it was 2004 maybe? My DD7 was almost 3 and obsessed! She loved Monsters Inc so much, her whole 2nd birthday revolved around it - cake, presents etc. Wonder if they're still over there?

I live in my crocs and yes I wear socks with them sometimes. I only put my sneakers on if I realllllllllllllllllllly have too. as for qotd I'd love to hug rabbit from winnie the pooh

I'm not the fashionista so I wasn't sure. I still wear my old birkenstocks around with socks- in fact I wore them to get the mail today. I'm a jeans, t-shirt and tennis shoes kinda gal!

Perhaps it was a diamond crusted platinum pen that belonged to her great great grandfather or something . I don't mean to pass judgement- I don't know the family or the circumstances or the kind of day the mom was having when it happened but I just can't get over the fact she banished your daughter for a month over a pen of all things. I certainly wouldn't want to be their kid. Can't wait to see her as a teenager- can you say "rebellious stage"?

I am very confused about the Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom on January 4th. It says 'up to three hours', but it doesn't exactly state whethere it is one, two or three extra hours.

Does anyone know where to find an answer?
