I got Littlest Pet Shop: Winter for my DD9, too. And Tinkerbell for DD6. They're going to be so surprised we actually got them each a DS.

I was going to get Tinkerbell, but I decided against it. We didn't want to overwhelm her with games. My mom got her Petz:Catz or something like that. We want her to save up her allowance money to buy games that she wants. She started collecting Webkinz in Nov 07. My FIL bought her 6 for Christmas last year. Then, she just kept getting them. She now had 20 of them, and is losing interest. We don't want that to happen with the Nintendo DS!

That must be so exciting! Sometimes I wish we were telling our DD on Christmas, but I don't think I could handle the "how many days until Disney?" question everyday! It's extremely hard keeping this secret!

Well I just got done watching the 2009 Planning DVD. It's cute. They talk about the new promo and then talk about the new rides/attractions for the year. But I think that's the only "new" stuff on the DVD. It still made me so excited! 27 days!

I just got done reading the thread regarding the rumors about Disney shutting down some resorts. I can see how this would make sense on an economical side. And truthfully, I wouldn't minding moving to another resort...but if I paid for a preferred room, I would hope to get a preferred room at another resort...or an upgrade would be fine. I chose Pop Century for the price...upgrade me to a Deluxe and I would be on

The DD's are outside playing in the snow in total darkness...and it's really cold out there tonight. I just called for them to come in shortly...brr it's cold out there.

I can't wait to walk off the plane and feel the heat in the "plane tunnel" is there a name for that thing that connects the plane to the building?

Wow I can't believe how slow this thread is moving these days. I remember when everyone thought we'd be on Part 5 before Christmas!

On part 3 we were to 130 pages in like 10 days!
This time it took us over 3 weeks!

If I recall correctly, we were all on our "code watch" back on part 3. So we all just sat, watching for codes & posting up a storm! (And yeah, the season probably has something to do with it!)

I don't think it would affect CBR since it is pretty popular right now with the new pool and the new rehab and all. At least I hope not!

I would think that Disney would have announced this by now (no matter what resorts it would affect) seeing that it is mid-December already. . .

I don't think it'll affect CSR either, since they have conventions booked, they've just renovated one of the buildings to a new Club level, they've put in all queen beds, and they've just started renovating the regular rooms.

That leaves the Port Orleans resorts for moderates.

I hope, though, that anyone who's actually affected by this gets a major upgrade!

As many others have said go ahead and close but please offer me a room at a moderate for the price I paid or just a slight increase. I don't have any interest staying at the All Stars so I would really try to get an upgrade if possible. At this point its all rumor no need to get worried until they officially make an announcement.

Congrats on the Magic Mail! I've been checking my mailbox every day anticipating...only xmas cards..and from people I didn't send a card to so now I have to stamp a couple xtra cards and get them in the mail!

Hey Snowbirds! I finally got a chance to sit down again. I hope they don't expect to boot anyone out of their resort without making it worth their while! Upgrades are necessary!

I got home early, mixed up cookie dough, took the girls to dance, talked to my friend to plan our weekend, had dinner, made cookies, bathed kids, talked on the phone, made another treat, and cleaned up the kitchen, and now I'm exhausted!!

Since I won't be around this weekend (No internet), Happy Birthday to pamouselover, and anyone else with celebrations this weekend! Congrats on all of the Magical Mouse Mail!
I hope you all have a great weekend - don't chat too much without me!!

I just wanted to say that a while back (in the summer) I was on a diffrent Disney board and quite a few people who were booked at Pop got calls teh day before they left "asking" if they would like to be upgraded to the contemporary. So I guess you really never know with Disney...they would spin it as a magical upgrade.
