Well good night everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful start to your weekend!
I have a very busy day, which is going to start with a trip to Times Square to meet the celebration tour and get me a Mickey ballon! (which I will proudly tote around all day!)

I'm back on page 66 trying to catch up with everyone.

Migraine is temporarily gone. I still have a dull ache but nothing like earlier.

Still bummed about Splash being down but I am happy that I will be able to catch Mickey's Philharmagic. Just one more reason to start planning my next trip :)

I witnessed something scary today. I am a developmental therapist. I work with very young childdren with developmental delays. I was waiting for a kiddo to show up at the mall, where we were going to visit the local Tumble Town. I was waiting on a bench next to a jewelry store, browsing the Dis on my Blackberry. I wasn't really paying attention, although I did notice 3 men standing at the counter of the jewelry store. All of the sudden, a man runs past me and into the JC Penney that was behind me. I didn't think anything of it at first. Perhaps he wanted to get some money to buy a nice piece of jewelry :confused3 Yeah, I'm naive like that. At any rate, next thing I know, they store is pulling down it's gates and the security people and police show up. Turns out that he robbed the jewelry store at gun point WHILE I SAT THERE . . . completely oblivious . . . reading the Dis. Perhaps the Dis is hazardous to my health.

WOW I'm just glad that you are okay and safe!!!! That is scary but everything turned out okay!

Hmmm . . .
1) I am going to buy a Lapu Lapu! Really looking forward to this one :goodvibes
2) More Potato Head pieces. Why:confused3 My son doesn't even play with them anymore. I just think they're cute.
3) A Mickey rice krispie treat. I LOVE THEM.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEN!!party:

Shelly~I so want one of those Mickey cookies. They look awesome.

Thank you for the warm wishes!! I had a great day!!

LOVE that store - one of my absolute faves. I still have recipe cards that I bought there with Chef Mickey on them. They are used for my most special recipes!

There's a kitchen Disney store?!?!?!? Hot-diggity! One of my shopping weaknesses is kitchen goodies...I think this seriously influences one of my answers to the QOTD

Goodness, I'm glad you're safe and that your kiddo wasn't there -- how hard would that have been to keep him out of harm's way. And what about those poor people inside the jewelry store....the world is a crazy place.

Ha!! I think I was too---but I really wasn't aware of it as much as I am now!!! I have ALWAYS been a big book nerd. I was one of only a handful of my friends who even read a complete book before H S Graduation!!! Hence....:teacher: Ha!!

I went to the Dr today & all was great. I had an issue last year that kinda was weird, but I am good now!! So, just wanted to post my own little praise report with all my good friends!!!

First, reason number 879 on why I love our thread - it took me a while to embrace my own nerdiness and my nerdiness has certainly embraced me back. Being a librarian, I can admit the nerdiness as an occupational hazard but, in reality, I was a nerd long before I was a librarian. I love being a nerd and finding other lovely nerd buddies ---

Second, thanks for letting us know about your good news from the doctor -- yay!!!!

QOTD:

I am not really planning to buy souvenirs at WDW because I discovered the Disney Outlet online --- :woohoo: So three T-shirts and a lanyard later, I've almost called it quits on the shopping...until, of course, more deals come down the pike.

But there are some things only available at WDW so I do want to be open to any and all shopping opportunities.

I do have a few things:

1) Ears - now, conventional wisdom should dictate that I get Mickey ears but are there others that I might like as well? And, could I get them embroidered?

2) Thanks to Shelly and Sharadoc, I'm now planning to visit the Disney kitchen store...who knows what I'll end up with - a whole new kitchen ;)

3) In the world showcase, I'd like to explore their stores, especially for foodstuffs to take back home.

About food --

1) Mickey ice cream ear
2) Dole whip
3) anything at Main Street Bakery and/or Kringla Bakeri og Cafe
4) whatever else I can jam in my greedy little mouth.

NNOOO! :scared1: It's a good thing Peaches is safely sleeping right now - or you'd be in trouble! :lmao: How did Disco Dale escape his prison cell? :confused3 ::cop: Thanks officer! :cool1:

Peaches - hope you had a good sleep and weren't up too much with your barfy boy! Hope he is feeling better! Hope you don't get sick! :goodvibes

NOOOOO! How did Disco Dale get out? Ladies, we need to have a 24 hour watch on that tricky guy! :lmao: Time to call in the coppers!::cop:

So, it wasn't a great night in our house. The little guy only threw up 2 times. The second time he got it all into the bucket next to his bed. He was completely recovered this morning and ate like he had been starving! Poor kid! I guess it was a touch of a bug. Whatever it was, I'm just praying no one else gets it.

My kids are puking troopers. They don't cry or anything. So matter of fact. "Mama, I puked." We do a quick clean up and that's that. I used to sob when I was throwing up. Heck, I still do!:rolleyes1

So, I've got quilts washed and hanging, bed sheets, carpets and his mattress all out to dry. Blech.

The littlest Dressler was up at about 2am crying to go to the bathroom. We switched over to warmer jammies and she couldn't get the zipper down. Then she decided she could not possibly go back to her own bed so she snuggled up with us. That means I didn't get much sleep. Oh, well. Life as a mom, right?

Now, I found on TourGuide MIke's site the special instructions for Toy Story Mania, but it's not listed in his sample tour plans. And I'm having a heart attack while reading it. Now there are 3 FP priority rides for us at DHS! And I know we'll want to ride TSM and RnR Coaster more than once. Hopefully we can.

Question: while Fantasmic is happening, are the rides still running? We're thinking of sending my Mom and the 2 youngest kids back to the hotel to settle in for the night, keeping the older 2 kids with us and trying our hand at catching some of our favorite rides over again. I read 2 different closing times for DHS for that night: 7pm and 9pm. What do you all think?:confused3

Well, looks like I have a package waiting at the post office. Gotta try to get that before it's too late! Have a great day!

When I went last time the park was still open during fantasmic and that was when I rode RnRC and TOT for the second time and they were both walk ons at this point (and I was going during Spring Break Time). So I would take advantage of that if you can!!

GOOD MORNING Snowbirds!! Well I'm going to the outlet mall and going shopping today so I will see you all this evening!! I'm hoping to find a really good pair of walking shoes that I can slowly start to break in for Disney World. Other than that I'm doing some Christmas shopping!!

Hope you all have a great day!!!!

Good Morning everyone!! Off to the world of retail again today. Hopefully I will have a better day than yesterday! I am then having lunch with my big sister, so that will put me a better mood anyways. I'm sure that we will just be talking about her big wedding coming up next Saturday! HOORAY! :cheer2: I'm so excited! Catch all of you wonderful ladies later!

Have a great day everyone!:cool1:

Good morning Snowbirds! :goodvibes Happy Friday!!

Today my baby turns 7. He is pretty excited. He was already hyper this morning, can't wait to see him when I take sugar cookies to his class! :rotfl:

I'm so excited today - my ticker's down to 3 MONTHS!

And next week we're leaving for Las Vegas & a friend's wedding - yes, people do really have weddings there, not just elopements!

Oh, well - another day at work. See you later!

As for the Christmas shopping. . . well I really haven't done a thing! I am usually mostly done by now. Not sure what my problem is this year. Too focused on this January trip I guess. We've never gone this early in the year before.

I am going to get on that Christmas shopping very soon! :santa:

Goodness... at least he didn't want a hostage.

I'm a book nerd too... I used to carry a book around with me during High school. Actually my Senior English teacher made a change to a book assignment because I had already read it. Unfortunately, I opened my mouth when he announced what book we were reading and said "I've already read that." The rest of the class decided we would read a book I hadn't already read. I think it was either 1984 or Brave New World or something. Of course I finished the new assignment within a week, and still knew more about the book than my classmates.

Well good night everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful start to your weekend!

I really wish they were coming close to me, but alas, they're not. They're not even going to Atlanta, so I can't even live vicariously through my big sister.

First, reason number 879 on why I love our thread - it took me a while to embrace my own nerdiness and my nerdiness has certainly embraced me back. I want to be a librarian!!! I'm planning on getting my Masters in Library Science at some point. I might even get teaching certification at the same time so I can work in a school library. It depends on where my soon-to-be DH gets stationed after his graduation. If it's Hawaii, like we hope, then I can go through the program there, if I feel like it.

NOOOOO! How did Disco Dale get out? Ladies, we need to have a 24 hour watch on that tricky guy! :lmao: Time to call in the coppers!::cop:

Yeah... they still run the rides during Fantasmic. If they have two showtimes, and you want to see Fantasmic, it's suggested to ride during the first showing, and go see the second one.
I'm kind of worried about the 3 FP thing too. RnRC and ToT were easy, because they're so close together (ride one, get a FP for the other, or get FPs for both), but TSM is further away. I suppose I can always plan to skip ToT if I don't have time for all three, since Logan's afraid of heights and that's the one ride he has expressed concerns about. However, we do have 2 days planned for MGM, so we'll probably have plenty of time to do everything.
