January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part II !!!

1) I always buy a sweatshirt. Actually I use gift cards for that, so someone else buys me a sweatshirt!
2) I want a snow globe. I love them, just never buy any.
3) Hat/Visor. My sister and I usually buy new ones within the first few days of our trip and wear it the rest of the time.

**Other musts...my mickey necklace and ring broke, so I need to get more of those (hmm my brother owes me a birthday present since I bought him a stinkin WII for his birthday and he hasn't gotten me anything yet ....). Also my mother and I buy the mickey head earrings so we'll look for more colors we don't have.

Ok so it sounds like I buy a lot, but really I spend more money on friends. I use a lot of gift cards/christmas money for my trip so in all reality, I don't buy it myself!

We use our Disney Reward Dollars (from our Disney Visa) for all of our souvenirs!! That makes them seem extra special when they are FREE!!!!

What 3 things do I hope to buy? That Dole Whip sounds pretty amazing! Other than that, I haven't given it a thought. We can't really get too many souvenier type things just because we'll be coming back here in July. Can't accumulate too much junk.

If I see any Disney scrapbooking enhancements, I might snag those!

I'd enjoy a set of Mickey ears just for kicks...but I don't know if I'll get them or not.

Off to bed. My little guy started throwing up this evening after complaining most of the day about an upset tummy. Hopefully he's done. Not only do I hate the puking thing, but it breaks my heart when they're sick.

I know it isn't really your trip and so it's not the same, bu tthe Disney Outlet has a killer sale on snowglobes! I just looked at them and they are hugely discounted. I love snowglobes, but they aren't such a practical thing for me to collect right now. I literally just asked Scot if he knew anyone who loved snowglobes because you can't beat the price! I love the Pooh and the Cinderella ones!

As for non-food items...hmmmm,
1) pick a pearl & a necklace setting
2) A mini snowglobe or figurine
3) A really cute shirt

Everytime I go I swear I don't need anything, there is no more room in my house for anything Disney, and yet I STILL come home with bags and bags!
It's a sickness......but a darn good one!

QOTD- I LOVE buying things at Disney! Last time I went, I bought this cute tank top with a sparkly/rhinestone tiara on it. I adore it! They also had one with Cinderella's coach and I almost bought that one too. I'm sure we'll buy our DD WAY too much as usual. 2 yrs ago, we had a TON of Visa Reward dollars, but not so this time. We have asked my aunts and other relatives to buy us disney gift cards for Christmas though.

I will definately buy a Dole Whip! I just can't leave MK without one! I want to try one of those huge cinnamon buns too. I have always wanted one of those Minnie headbands with the sparkles on it. I don't know why I want one, but I just do. I don't know what else I PLAN on buying. If I see something that I like, I will probably just buy it. I will definately come home with some Tink stuff though.

Ew I'm sorry! I used to work at Barnes & Noble, most often the midnight shift so I was stuck cleaning up the place. There was more than one time when I wanted to throw a book at a person!!!!! I feel your pain!

This one I got at the kitchen store in DTD. It's smaller and I lost very few ears today!

I used liquid food coloring. Not sure why they turned out so bright!

LOVE that store - one of my absolute faves. I still have recipe cards that I bought there with Chef Mickey on them. They are used for my most special recipes!

Also, just to let everyone else know, Dumbo will be closed Jan 7th and Splash Mtn will be closed Jan 4-17th.

NoooOOOoooooOOOoo! (that's literally what I said aloud when I read that) With Splash and HoP closing Disney really isn't helping me make my BF love it there He loves log rides and history.

I had to stop and wonder - when exactly was it that I became such a nerd???!!!

Seems like I end up wondering this about every other day. I guess I should just accept it already

You know, as I stood there in my kitchen covered in flour and mixing, rolling, cutting out, baking, & frosting (and taking pictures of) oh about 100 Mickey-head cookies and listening (and singing)to all of the "Lunchtime with the 80's" songs on the radio, I had to stop and wonder - when exactly was it that I became such a nerd???!!!

I'm honestly not a big souvenier person, and I don't really plan on buying anything in particular. I buy some small snack food for my friends, but I use snack credits for that. I usually end buying something, but I really doubt it'll add up to three things. Pictures are the most valuable thing I could bring home!
