So far so good but it is cold tonight and I think I see snow I am scared of my first winter here.............

Don't be scared! Snow storms are nothing compared to the other kinds of severe weather other areas of the country experience. I don't think the snow we're supposed to get tonight is even supposed to stick. It will most likely be gone by tomorrow. I suggest you bundle up, grab a nice warm drink and spend some quality time on the Dis!

Sorry for the double post...I just looked at the Jet Blue website and now I'm not happy. If we want to cancel our flights, it will cost us $100/person! We went with the nonrefundable airfare because it was way cheaper. Now, I can't use that awesome 50% off deal through Southwest. Well, I hope that it helps out someone else! Nothing like saving someone else some money!

To put the design on the t-shirt, the transfer papers have directions on them. We usually always do "dark transfer paper" because for us, it's just easier to use. Plus I used a "light" one and it basically fell apart during the day.

As for making the "design" there are a ton of options all over the place. Sometimes we just take simple pictures and make shirts out of those. I guess a lot of people use programs and stuff. I don't actually make the designs though, I leave that to the smart people!

Cool - Thanks! I might have to try it. I'm not very skilled with anything relating to design, sewing, or technology, so it could be interesting. I usually just buy ready made stuff. And then I'm jealous of the people who can make their own!

I've never flown JetBlue, but my DH doesn't like any other airline. They have more leg room than other airlines (34"), leather seats and they have tv's at every seat. They charge $1 for headphones, or you can just bring your own. They have Directv with 36 channels and XM satellite radio. I'm pretty excited about that because now I don't have to bring our portable DVD player on this trip. I know that they don't charge for checked bags and they still serve (unlimited) snacks on the plane (Dunkin Donuts coffee, Coke products, lots of chips/cookies to choose from). You get to choose your own seats which is cool. They also have a few rows on every plane that have added leg room (38") but it costs a little extra. I just read on their website they have a complimentary snooze kit for red-eye flights (eye mask and ear plugs).

They tend to be a very good airline. Customer service is definitely above your average airline. New planes, satellite TV in every seat (great for the kids), no first bag charge, they also fly direct to a bunch of popular destinations. Pricing is close to Southwest.

I remember living in Syracuse as a kid and we had a snow storm on my mom's birthday, on March 15th! The snow was up to the eaves of the house. We could hardly see out the windows and when we opened the garage door, we came face to face with a wall of snow! I enjoyed all the snow as a kid, but now that I have to drive in it, it's not so much fun. However, I can't even imagine living anywhere else. I adore Buffalo! I love the change of seasons (snow and all) and all the different types of food available. I'm like a walking tourism video for Buffalo!

That's how I was as a kid in Minnesota! I remember the snow covering cars and walking on top of them, the snow up to the roof... ah the good old days! I could be the Minnesota tourism video!

Holy cow! That sounds awesome! Wish they flew from here. We are supposed to be getting Southwest after the first of the year, but at the beginning they are only flying to Chicago. Oh well.

We're flying Jet Blue this trip. Flown it a few times for business, and love them. Love the DD coffee. Love listening to my morning news on the flight, and love how the flight crew takes extra special care of people with special needs flying. My co-worker is a double amputee. They always make sure to check on him throughout the flight. Heck, they don't even charge him for his pillow kit

and of course the Phillies game will be on in the background.
