We made it through Open House today now we'll see how the first day of Kindergarten is tomorrow!

For all of you talking about getting stuff ready and packed for your trip, do I have a good one for you. My Husband already has our suitcases out and he has bought 8 (at least) Disney shirts for each of us, one for each day of our trip folded nicely and packed in each suitcase. And he keeps adding, he'll see something on Disney.com or in the store and he buys that one too. My Son actually has 11 shirts for the trip! I'll have enough shirts to change every two hours at this pace.:rotfl:

(Yes, I have my tote packed with goodies too, but I'll just pick on my Husband for now):)

Let us know how the first day of kindergarten goes! :wizard:

WOW you are very lucky to have a husband so involved in the Disney planning!! :goodvibes My DH thinks I'm his personal travel planner - he does nothing to get ready for our trip!!

Question of the Day ~

Now that everyone has their TS ADR's made. . . Have you started to think about your CS meals???

CS meals?! Do you know how much it was like teeth pulling to get my DH to pick dinner for January in August?! ;)

I think we'll probably end up with a lunch at WWoS on the marthon registration/packet pick up day and then at the CS at POR for dinner - since they have the make-your-own pasta meals which is perfect (and easy!!) for a marathoner. :)

Beyond that, it'll probably be "something" wherever we are. Probably a lot of breakfasts, when I look at our TS meals! ;)

You know it! :rotfl: Us+Food=

Pinnochio Village Haus- I want to try Figaro Fries (technically a snack credit.)

Columbia Harbour House- I love the tuna sandwhich.

TANGIERINE CAFE (Morocco)- Shawarma Sandwiches (which is served with hummus, marinated red onions, lettuce & tomato, topped with Taziki sauce. YUM!!!)

Wolfgang Puck Express- Don't know what we will have, but we knew we love this place! :lovestruc

DH laughs at me because I read him the menus before we go to sleep at night. Our version of a bedtime story, I guess.

Good Morning Snowbirds~
In answer to the QOTD I must say 'no'.Sorry!! I actually don't have all my ADRs yet.I know, I need to get crackin', but as you know our trip is a surprise and I haven't actually had time yet to lay out the schedule and get all this figured out. I did get Cinderellas castle!! And Le Cellier---does anyone know the correct way to pronounce this? I spoke to the CM the other day to make the ADR and she kept calling it 'Le CELLARS" Is this right? Not what I thought---but I guess I am wrong!! We have ADRs for the HDDR, but we are going to cancel that. IT' s a great show, but we just went last year and for our bunch it's going to be over $200---I can gladly use that somewhere else!!!

Anyway, when I get time to plan out the whole thing, I will post all the ADRs--for us the 2 I have gotten have always been the hardest.Anyway--hope you have a great day!!!Glad all your babies have had good first days at school!!!

"Hello, my name is Trixie, and I have a secret bin."

Everybody together now, "Hi, Trixie." :rotfl2:

Northern Girl- you are seriously organized. I admire that. :lovestruc

Trixie- I have a secret bin too. In addition to Disney stuff it also has pictures of Michael Phelps. :lmao: ;)

Here are our definites for CS meals ~

MK - Casey's Corner - The kids love getting the mini-corndogs and cracker jacks here, DH loves the hot dogs and fixings bar, and I love the cheese sauce for my fries!

CBR's Food Court - I'm sure we will eat here at least 2-3 times. Lots of choices and convenient!

Epcot - We will probably go back to Electric Umbrella, unless we come up with a better idea. Any suggestions??? We didn't care for Boulangerie Patisserie or Sunshine Seasons. . .

We have a TS breakfast at AK, and we won't be there long enough for another meal.

DHS - I am looking for a CS meal here for around 10:30-11:00 am. . . We have to have dinner at 4:00pm because of the Fantasmic package, so we need a brunch/early lunch sort of meal here. . . ? ? ?

DTD - We always go to Wolfgang Puck Express for CS here. Very good! Would like to try something else, not sure what though. Didn't like Earl of Sandwich last time. . . Still waiting to see which DTD restaurants are even participating in the DDP. . . last time I checked it was only a few. . .

WOW now I'm getting hungry!! :mickeybar

:lmao:

I have heard Le Cellier pronounced so many ways!! I'll try to describe the pronunciations -

I've heard:

Le Cellar

Le Cell- e - a

Le Cell - e - air

:rotfl:

We made it through getting our DD to her first day of Kindergarten; we'll see how she is when we pick her up.

As for the QOTD-

When we're ready to eat, we really just do our CS meals at the closest place. Kind of boring, but if it doesn’t involve Dole Whips, we don't care.:rotfl:

I will not be attempting to read this entire thread (156 pages?!? yikes!)

We're planning on going to WDW in 2010 though! YAY! We went in January 2008 and it was wonderful.

I need some support!

I've never shared with you all, that when I was 8 months pregnant DH got very sick and I almost lost him. His appendix ruptured, but he was misdiagnosed for 11 days before it was removed. He abdomen was eaten up by "poison" (for lack of a better term) and he suffers with hernias now because of all the trauma. His stomach muscles are weak and a hernia has reappeared. I'm so frustrated with all of this that I just want to cry! We are just starting out in our marriage and it's so hard going through all of this medical drama and wondering what the rest of our life will be like because of it.

Anyhow, DH just went to an appointment and he's going to need surgery again. :sad1:

Never thought to put them there! I did just put all of them onto my flash drive. I thought DH might feel bad if he was on my laptop
and found 67 pics of Phelps. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Yikes. That's a lot to handle, I'm sure. After his surgery, he should be okay though, right? I mean, it's not life threatening is it??

The Snowbirds are here for you. :grouphug:

I'm sorry to hear about this. That is terrible that he was misdiagnosed for so long.

It is always hard to deal with this sort of stuff. Especially when you have a little one to take care of. My DH had major back surgery in 2004. The kids were 3 and 5. He had 2 herniated discs in his lower back. :sad2: What a nightmare! He even ended up losing his job when he was off. We were living off of my part-time banking income. Not pretty! But in the end (several months later) we were very lucky that he ended up healing great and getting a much better job.

I guess I'm not sure what my point is here. . . I guess to just stay strong and continue to pray and God will take care of your family.

Keep us posted.

It is not life threatening. It's just frustrating that we are going through it again, he had surgery last March.

God will provide! He ALWAYS has and through all of this we have learned to trust Him even more. That is the silver lining in all of this, I suppose. :)

Oh Bella, that's tough! We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers! And here's a skittle hug for you all. :grouphug:

Shelly, saw this pic on your dining report, DD8 wants to know what all this candy is. Is it jelly beans? What does it say on the top...Tons O ??? Thanks!

Soleil...you'll get through this. We are here for you.

As for counter service places we don't usually plan ahead. For our trip in October we wont' be doing any CS because we are doing the Deluxe dining plan. In January we only have a few sit down meals planned so we will be doing lots of counter service.

We like
Ak- flame tree bbq
Epcot- we like tangerine cafe the best, also like Sunshine Seasons because there are so many choices. We really dislike the Electric Umbrella.
MK-Cosmic Rays.
MGM- we usually do Pizza Planet bc the kids love it. Backlot express is ok.
DTD- Puck's express is the best..also like Earl of Sandwich but not as much.
We are staying at Animal Kingdom Villas so we will eat Mara a couple of tmes too.

I think it says Tons O Fun! :goodvibes

There is just about any kind of candy you could ever want at Goofy's Candy Co!

I think one wall may be jelly beans and one is all kinds of bulk candy. It is very expensive though, something like $3.95 per 1/4 pound!

On the DDP for one snack credit you can get 3 pretzel rods dipped in chocolate and rolled in a topping (oreos, m&m's, reeses, caramel, sprinkles, etc.)!! Very yummy!!

We usually go there twice on our trip. Once to get pretzels and then again on the night before we leave to go home because we usually have a ton of snack credits left. Just about anything in the store that is less than $4 and doesn't say "family size" on it is a snack on the DDP!

Okay, Peanut. Distract me from my sad thoughts with talk of Disney food.

Where all are you eating in October?
What do you usually get at Tangerine Cafe? (This will be our first try.)

Flame Tree is Awesome! MGM doesn't have the best selections for CS, does it? Puck's is also my favorite. It has been since I was a sweet little College Progam kiddie.:goodvibes
