January 20, 2013 - 4 Night Bahamian Cruise

Maybe it's just me but I still can't open the link Pumba's Dad :(. All the links you've posted previously I could and still can open just not these 2 last ones you posted this week.

I'm new to this fish extender thing, and will be on this cruise also. I would like to be added to the list please.

Welcome to our group momtomatthew.

We did have a cut off point for the Fish Extender sign up back at the end of November. This was to allow families the opportunity to buy or create items for the Fish Extender 'event'.

However if you pm me your info and we'll see what we can do. I have plenty of extras around here as like to share that Magic with the kids (young and old). But I'll leave it up to the other families as they may have already done their shopping for this trip.

Thanks again

The link works great - thanks Ramon! Could you also put any new additions on the chart? We are putting the gifts together this weekend, so I can easily add some new people.

Our DD is SO excited. She got the call from Mickey on Christmas Eve and then she opened a calendar that we made for her. She can move the "ship" each day. So far, it is helping with the "How many days until we leave?" question.

See everyone in 3 weeks!!

Yes I will add any additional families to a separate section on this list. That way if you have a little something extra to make it more magical for someone, it makes it more fun for everyone.

That is cool that Mickey called your home. We use to do that when the kids were little. One year, we told the teachers that we were going to Disney. But the kids didn't know. I did tell them that I had to go to a meeting in Raleigh and that I'd be back soon. Then I told them that their mom might come visit me so they should pack a bag. So off they ran and packed their bags. The next day, the teachers presented a Mickey and Minnie to each one that said they were going to Walt Disney instead. They were so excited.

We just started gathering stuff from our Cruise buckets. We have buckets for the cruise and Disney world, that has everything we might need. These buckets have our Pirate outfits and beach gear.

So as we get closer, we'll make final arrangements on our little meet and greet on the ship, and then we can decide on how to do deliveries. Some families give items on a certain night or every night. Makes it fun to come back to your room and see you have mail from your friends.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Be Safe and see you soon.

Happy New Year to everyone. Only a few short weeks to go till we leave. Have we come up with a time and place to do a meet while on board?

Thanks so much for organizing this! We are really looking forward to this cruise. Yesterday I made the FE for Janet and Lisa's room

The one for our room has a Mickey theme.

Parents of other celebrating 10 year olds I'd love to meet up Sunday if possible and get our girls together.

Our daughter is 10 years old too, great idea!

Hi, this is our first Disney cruise. My daughter is 7 and I am a little nervous about leaving her in the kids clubs not knowing anyone she is very social and I know she will make friends.I was just wondering if anyone on here has a daughter around her age. Also, does Disney sit you with other families at dinner who have children the same age. I am just being an overprotective mom lol I have never left her with anyone other than family. I appreciate any feedback thanks:)

princess:

My daughter is 8. She is also very social. She has already told me she wants to do a bunch of the kids activities, so I am sure she will be there when your daughter is there. I have been told by many former cruisers that the experience is nothing but positive for the kids and they are well cared for. Hope to see you at the meet-up.

Awesome! Thanks we have an arrival time of 2:00 - 2:30 so we hope to make the meet and greet.

Welcome to the group, princessnthepea

Do not worry about the Kids Club. You will be like the other parents and have to drag your child away from the club because she's having to much fun. They offer so many activities and the kids do a lot of neat things and meet the characters all the time.

As for Dinner time, unless you request a table by yourself, you will be matched with another family similar to yours. Our last trip in June, we were paired with a family from England. They were a fun couple with a 6 yo. She and my niece got along very well and would eat dinner with us and then when the counselors came to collect the kids, off they ran to 'school'.

And take your time joining us. They have lots of Ice Cream and it's my intention to put a big dent in their supply this trip. :rotfl2: Also, if you're driving into port, you can show up earlier than your boarding time. We've had different times and they still let you board early. I believe it's their way of controlling the crowds.

Thank you so much! Y'all are so helpful! I love that there is a place I can go to get answers. It is a little overwhelming for me having never been on a Disney cruise and never having left my baby girl with anyone other than family. Thanks again for all your help! Looking forward to the meet and greet!

We just booked this cruise this morning and are quite excited to be going. I know the FE list is closed, but if you could add us to the late additions list, I would appreciate it. Even if it's just a few pieces of candy I know the kids will enjoy.
