I just realized we are going to be in WDW the day after MLK holiday--will all the crowds be gone by Wed? We're flying in on Tues and probably won't do a park that day, just Downtown disney

I think you'll probably be pretty safe. I would think most people would be heading home the day you arrive.

We were at WDW January 16-24, 2009 (Friday-Saturday, including MLK weekend and the week after). I was pleasantly surprised at the light crowds during the entire trip - but it was VERY cold that week.

We were there Friday night to Thursday morning of MLK weekend 2009. We usually go in a slow week in Jan or the first week of Feb but this was the quietest we have ever seen. The only real wait we had for anything the entire time was for the new Tinkerbell room. We read about crowds etc and were nervous but never found it crowded. Tuesday and Wednesday were awesome in that there were no lines at all. I don't know if fastpass machines were open since there were no need. It was very cold though for Florida, in the 30s and probably no warmer than 50 but since we are from Boston area it felt awesome to us compared to home. Unfortunately it is hard to say if it was the weather or the time of year that caused lack of crowds. Rides like Peter Pan were walk ons with zero people ahead of us etc.

Bear in mind that President's Week and Mardi Gras in 2010 fall the same week......and the peeps from South Louisiana are out of school ALL week and lots heard to WDW.....been there done it when we lived there :)
