January 18, 2014 FANTASY 7 Day Western!

I know a few people have already expressed their interest in the meet up so I am going to start an official list to keep on top of names and numbers. Please could you comment if you're interested in going to the meet up and let me know how many in your party will be attending. I will update the "Who's cruising with us" post so we can keep track of how big the meet up group is getting. :cool1:
The meet up will be a great experience, finally meeting everyone on the thread. It will also be where we add final room changes to the FE list for people who upgrade at the port etc (although if you cant make it to the meet up, Rhiannon and I will keep an up to date FE list on our door throughout the cruise)

This is all getting very exciting! :mickeyjum
I love the pictures, keep them coming. It will make it much easier to spot the DISers once we get onboard

Cant wait to meet you all! :goodvibes

I would love to join the meet up along with my daughter Samantha (9)

We would also like to do the meet up: 4A( brad, Tara, Joan, Leroy) and 1C(Connor 6.5 yrs old) picture coming soon I hope:)

Is anyone planning on going to WDW before or after the cruise?

I booked our flights for Thursday, January 16, just in case the winter weather causes any delays. So on Friday we might go there. I know you need more than 1 day to do it properly, but I guess it's better than nothing.

After our cruise we fly home at 3pm, so won't get to go then.

We are planning 3 days before, staying in the Art of Animation resort. Not doing the Disney parks though. We'll spend a couple of days touring the resorts/ visiting Downtown Disney, and one day at the-theme-park-which-shall-not-be-named. ;)

After the cruise, Meg is going to fly home straight away but I'm going to have 5 days at the parks all by myself. I used to think that going before was best, wear yourself out and then have a nice relaxing cruise, but leaving the ship and having to go straight home is just too painful!

I have added you guys to the meet up list! :cool1:
Sorry I took so long :) I stared uni this week so I am going to have to stay on top of this !

Wow, winter weather - hadn't thought of flight delays for snow! That time of year is summer down here and I am dreaming of warm weather at CC. Will need to think about travel plans again now. Mmmmmmmm

Good luck at Uni!

We won't book our flights for a while, yet, but we will be in Orlando before the cruise and maybe after. We don't plan on WDW, though. Saving it for its own trip. We do plan to visit 2 other theme parks (as muggles at one and to explore "brick building" at the other) and Kennedy Space Center.

DahliaRW - I won't have booked my flight yet either. Probably not until Nov as that should be when the airfare goes on sale.

Meganyvemarie - Good luck with Uni!! You have done an amazing job keeping this all organized thus far. Thank you!!

wenuwish - It is depressing to go home right after the cruise.

oatway - good thinking about the snow delays. Not usually a problem here in ATL, but we occasionally get ice storms. Never a fun time. However, since you are up north, that is probably more of a threat.

I hope more little 9yo girls sign up for the thread. We are also doing the TA cruise to Barcelona 2014, and it looks like a lot of little girls Samantha's age will be on that cruise. It would be nice for her to meet people on this cruise as well.

We will be staying at Animal Kingdom the night before. Don't know if we will drive or fly, going to see how the airfare prices go.

For Southwest, usually Sat morning prices are better than Friday prices. If I end up flying out Friday, I will pull Samantha 1/2 day and play at the parks. Early Sat before heading down there. If not, I will fly in and head straight to the port.

How long is the drive from Illinois? It's 7-8 hours from ATL.

We're planning on spending a couple of days before we cruse at the-theme-park-which-shall-not-be-named also! DH and DS 10 are huge Harry Potter fans so we can't resist another visit. After we get off the ship we are heading to the Kennedy Space Center before heading back to NC!

Only 319 days to go. Woo, hoo.

I have never been to Universal. Ironically, I am headed to Singapore in June and we have tickets to go there then. If she likes it, we may start adding that to our Disney trips.

Awesome! We may just bump into you! We'll almost definitely be wearing our Hufflepuff scarves. ;) I'm also a huge Harry Potter fan, it's my first chance to see the WWOHP since it opened, so I'm very excited! I don't think we'll be seeing much of the rest of the park!

This has now changed to my 4th cruise. My son was suppose to be on the Dream in Feb, but he switched to the Magic Jan 6-10. It just means a longer trip for me. :woohoo:
