January 15, 2011 - Magic

It was really great meeting everyone!

Welcome back Cruisers - if you have a few moments - can you answer a few questions for us:

1. Did you find the condition of the ship as bad as some people were saying back in December - pails to catch water, smells, etc?

Ship condition seemed fine to me.

2. The feedback on the servers is still pretty mixed. How were your Servers? If you had good service, can you share names as we may ask for specific people. How were the rest of the Cast Members?

Our servers were obviously inexperienced. We seemed to be getting our drinks and food after everyone around us. We had to leave without dessert a couple nights because our DD was getting tired/restless (and this was the 1st seating). They were so in the weeds that they didn't have time to make any personal connection with their tables. Tables with different servers seemed to be having more fun than ours. It was really kind of sad when none of their tables clapped on the last night when the announcer asked "who thinks they have the best servers?" We could tell that the head server was on top of them, so we didn't want to say anything and make it worse on them.

On top of the poor service, by Monday, our server apologized because she was "losing her voice", which got worse Tuesday, and then she was replaced for Wednesday and Thursday. I got a really bad cough and head cold by Wednesday that I am still trying to get over completely. Coincidence?

3. Castaway Cay - how was the air temperature? how was the water temperature? Were people swimming?

It was a little chilly when we first got off the boat, but warmed up enough to play in the water a bit. We dropped our DD at Scuttle's Cove around lunch and stayed until the rain. We REALLY liked Castaway Cay, and would love to go back sans cruise if they ever open a resort there.

4. Other Ports' Weather?

Fabulous!

5. Was Brent the Cruise Director?

No

Thanks

Jan 17th St Thomas, Looking for fellow fisherman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jan 17th I will be on St thomas and would like to go fishing. My family is doing other excursions and I would like to go fishing. Any other groups or people that would like to get together and book a fishing boat? I am finding that I am unable to book with only one person. It takes atleast four people to book an excursion.

Let me know, Thanks!
