January 14, 2012 Eastern Carribbean Cruise

OK, I just heard it may SNOW here on Thursday!! My kids have their league meet for cross country Thursday afternoon-now projected to be in the 40's with rain and possible snow....it's too early!!

BTW-I like the phone idea too. It was a great resource last trip because when we left home, we had no computer to check in with anyone. When we almost missed the plane (and others did too) it was great to check in with each other and see who made it out and who had to change plans to get to the ship on time. We also tweaked our meet plans and it was fairly easy to get in touch with everyone.
Once we boarded we relied on the phones in the cabins to get messages to everyone.

Tory I sent you an email via the DIS... I hope you check that e-mail. I sent my email address because email the DIS has for me I don't believe is correct.

I can add a column for phone numbers if we want it. The spreadsheet is set up to only be accessed if you click on the link, so anyone could get there. Should I password protect it?

I think that's a good idea, then you could just PM us with the password. Or if it's easier, we can PM you to get it and you can just reply with the password...

Tried to password it, there is not an option for it. The only option I have is to lock it out and give permissions to people to access it. The way I grant access is for people to log into google or create an account and request access. Thoughts, alternate ideas?

Why aren't we just sending you our info. :confused3

 Ohhhh everyone can see it.

If we could just get the info on a non internet sheet and then email to people.
I already sent you my stuff.

I'm also out of PM space and would like to save the messages I have so I'm limited on PMing.

We might have a hurricane Thursday! This has got to be the craziest weather:scared1: too early for snow and late for hurricanes!

Wow this board really got hopping since last I was here. My mom and I booked Palo brunch together (I think its the 2nd at sea day) and My hubby and I are giving each other a spa/Palo dinner package gift for Christmas and our Anniversary so we will be having Palo dinner on the first at sea day. We booked some of the helmet dives because we have done this itinerary a few times before and wanted something different...plus my parents have tried it and rave about it. My son isn't old enough so we are trading off at each port on who goes and who does something with the little guy. Getting so excited, paying the cruises off and booking things makes it seem so much more real and getting close.
:rotfl:

hmmmm....didn't really give much thought to everyone on the web being able to see the info...googledocs was not available (or we didn't know about it) when I did the spreadsheet for 2007. Basically what everyone did was to email me their info, I would add the info to the spreadsheet, and email everyone as changes were made (made an email group so it wasn't time consuming).
...just a thought....

You are right next door to my sister and her family! I've forwarded her that she's got "honeymooners" next door. :goodvibes

:lmao: haha, we may be more like the old honeymooners sitcom, lol!

I am really looking forward to sitting out on that veranda breathing in that ocean air and staring at the ocean. It's the most relaxing thing on the cruise for me. (Funny-that's the best part of our ANP trips too, but we have to climb to the top of a mountain (small ones-just a few hours hike), but then we get to eat lunch and watch the ocean and feel the ocean breeze...ahhhhh

have a great day all!

Does everyone have a facebook account?

I myself have never done the tastings, but I always wanted to. Last night I was reading the boards and someone who just got off the Magic was kind enough to scan his navigators. On them were a list of "tastings". They had beer, martini, and a few others.

Also, all the drinks of the day come with and without alcohol, so you can get the great fruity taste without the "drink"! :woohoo:

That's great!

My BIL wants to try every single "tasting" they offer.....lol I think that's his one goal on the cruise. Mine is to hopefully get Palo for brunch, and I'd love to do "high tea" with my sister. Any other ladies doing high tea? Maybe get a group? As a group, our goal is to get main dining. As of right now we have late dining. Hoping it won't be too difficult to get it changed. Anyone ever attempted that before? Main dining was already unavailable by the time we booked this cruise.

The tequila tasting one is WICKED AWESOME :thumbsup2
You do sign up once on board, I think they post it in the Navigator, but I am not positive.
If I remember correctly, you get 3 smallish shots of tequila-starting with lesser quality up to premium. You also get a few small margaritas, with instruction on how to make them. DH does not drink at all, and I went with a few members from our cruise group, and we had SO much fun! I was very happy I made it back to the room, lol.:lmao: I don't drink very much, so I was worried before it started, but I did just fine. I did make sure I had some carbs before I went. It was actually very informative-they explained what to look for and avoid in tequila.

They also had martini tastings, wine tastings, and I think one other, but I am not sure.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I wouldn't mind watching it, although I'd have no interest in actually drinking. I know my DH and BIL will enjoy these tastings. My DH is most looking forward to the tequila tasting.
