January 12, 2013 Eastern on the Fantasy

Very exciting time! I went over last night to help with the twins while their daddy went out for groceries. They looked tinier than I remember them being in the hospital :) So precious. Hopefully by January, they will have adapted to and like rides in the van, because we are ALL travelling down by vehicle instead of flying. It's a long long ride for two little ones, but I am hoping to break the long drive up with a visit to a Great friend I met on that 2010 cruise! I can hardly wait! Will you be driving down again also?

How long of a drive down will it be for you? I hope the twins will be good troopers for you too. Maybe they will sleep quite a bit on the way down and back. At that age they will be probably still be taking a couple naps which is good. How fun to visit with one of the cruisers from our Oct. trip. That will definitely help to break up the trip some.

We too are driving down again in our camper and I too hope our new little one (almost 5 months old at that time) will be a good traveler too. It takes us about 22 hours for traveling down from Wisconsin. Hopefully that time of the year the weather will be alright while traveling.

We're coming from just over the Northern Border :) So 24 hours of driving time. We'll probably leave in the evening and drive overnight on the way down with the stop half way through. OR and I think this is better, my daughter, grandbabies and my own youngest son, leave on the Sunday before the cruise, drive to just the other side of DC and stay with threeiscrazy for a few days. The DH and DD's DH and older son can join us on the Thursday (DH has to work up to that Wednesday), and then we'll drive the remainder of the way. I think that would be best for the little ones. We're hoping to stay at CI&S again too :) Love that place :thumbsup2
Your camper sounds like a great way to travel. DH was considering renting one for the trip (save hotel costs) but we never looked into it further than that, yet.

WOW that's alot of cross country driving.
The DW would never go for that. She has titanium plates in her neck, from auto accident, and long drives make her very uncomfortable. We are flying into Orlando on the 11th, and staying at the Airport Marriott. Then taking the shuttle to the pier on the 12th.

You all drive safe, and good luck with the little ones on that long a drive!

We will be on the cruise and would love to be added to the list.
DH 32, me 30 :bday::cake:, DD 7

Waiting to see if my dad and stepmom are coming.

Hoping they are since it's a big celebration cruise for me for 2 BIG reasons. 30 and celebrating a year since I got. Surgery to help control my chronic pain that was way uncontrolable for 4yrs, still have the pain but much better!

How do you join the FB group?

We just got home from the Eastern Cruise on the Fantasy and had a great time, can't wait to be back on the boat again!:cool1:

Your plans with stopping at threeiscrazy's house sounds like it would make traveling with the little ones a lot easier and help break up the travel time. It probably won't seem so long then. I hope you had a great weekend and was able to spend a lot of time with the granddaughter's. :)

Thanks! It is a long drive, but the cost and hassle of flying with 8 people, with 6 of them children, makes driving not seem so bad.:rotfl2: Sorry about your wife and her auto accident. I imagine traveling long distances would be hard for her. Flying would be a much better choice then.

Welcome:welcome:
How exciting that you were just on an Eastern! We were on on the Dream in April and really enjoyed it! We are looking forward to doing an Eastern as we have never been on an Eastern yet.

We will also have a daughter around your age (she will be 8 at the time).:)

Congratulations with celebrating your birthday on the cruise, as well as celebrating a year from your surgery. I hope all went well and that surgery helped your chronic pain.

I see your point, with 6 kids in tow--
Who is the 6th kid, as I only see 5 in your signature line :grouphug:

Be sure to make multiple head-counts (don't want to have a "Home-Alone" moment):rotfl:

Yes that wouldn't be good to have a Home Alone moment:eek:I do fnd myself at times counting heads to make sure everyone is there and accounted for.:rotfl2:

#6 child is the one I am expecting at the end of Aug. He or she will be almost 5 months by the time we cruise.:goodvibes

Hello! Cheeser's friend Heather here. DH & I booked this cruise with them on our last cruise as we had so much fun. And l believe she's already mentioned we have grown to a crew of 11 people. :)
The wait is torture!!

You got your own Basketball team there, with one in reserve
I hope you all have a fantastic road trip
It should:thumbsup2 be easy to spot your group onboard!

I regret that we won't be joining you on this cruise...just couldn't swing it.

We hope everyone has a great time!!

Hi everyone! I've been absent for awhile and not doing a very good job keeping the roll call list up to date. The list has grown with the addition of some new names. Let me know if I missed anyone or if you want me to add/change any information.

The only update I have is that you can add names to the TBA baby girls. Lily and Adrianna and they will be turning 8 months old the last day of our cruise :)
