We are planning a trip for 2013 and trying to decide which month would
be better, January or February. Need all the input on crowd levels and weather conditions. Thanks

Well January is usually the coldest month in Florida. If you are from up north you probably won't find it extremely cold, but I would expect average weather to be from the mid 40s to high 50s. (Being from Florida as soon as the thermometer says 4-something I turn into a Popsicle!)
This could be a drawback because Disney does have wet rides (Splash Mtn, Kali River Rapids) and it is very unpleasant to ride in that weather. The weather isn't that much different in February, but in my experience it seems to be a lot less busy. It's like the break time between the holidays and spring break.
In my opinion I would go in February.

Another note on the weather: you could always luck up and there be another winter like this years...we didn't have one!!!

I've always heard February is the best time to go to avoid crowds, but the downside is that they close a lot of the rides to do refurbishments on them.

Crowd wise, January through about mid-February is a wonderful time to go. Starting with President's week in February though the crowds get really heavy.

Weather wise, they are pretty similar with less chance of a cold (cool?) snap the later you go in that period. Rain should not be a problem since that's not the rainy season.

We have gone in Feb and are going again in 2 weeks.. Feb sometimes has free dining, seems like earlier in the month. President day weekend is busy, but the weather mild... not too cold or too hot.

We were in WDW from Jan 20th to the 27th and it ranged from 70 to 75 for our first 4 days there and got up to the mid to high 80's for our last 3 days. The crowds weren't too bad although if you can plan around the S. American groups I would.

Hope this helps

How about Jan 14 -18 2013, its the Monday after the Marathon Weekend. Is it busy from the one left over from the Marathon Weekend?

I am wondering about this time frame as well. The MLK Jr. holiday is close on the following Monday...we might stay until Sunday.:confused3
