It shouldn't be THAT late!! I booked our 4/3 deal for the end of JAnuary 2010 on September 28th, 2009!

EDIT - Codes for Room Only Discounts were released on November 30th! Package deals came out MUCH sooner! Like I said I believe it was Sept 28th!

We want to go in Feb. and I got a code for August! We simply cannot go then. I have 2 questions:

If you a code comes out for room only-can you simply tack on the dining later so you have an awesome deal on the room and full price for the dining plan?

What is 4/3? Why do you all think it would happen again this year?

I seem to remember there being a gift card promotion around Jan/Feb last year. Am I correct in remembering that? Was it in addition to something like the 4/3 deal or was the gift card itself the discount? (If I am making any sense at all! )

Yep, there was a gift card deal and a 4/3 deal...in other words, buy 4 nights, get 3 free. But you had to pick which one...no double dipping and I'm not sure if the dates overlapped. Lots of discussion on the boards about which was the better deal, but it really depended on individuals' particular circumstances. We stuck with the 4/3 because it worked out better for us, but you had to do the math. The Mousesavers link a few posts up provide a historical look at discounts of the past.

Really hoping for 4/3 again this year and that they release it a early as they did last year. Finding out about that in late September, easily two months before I expected to know, was excellent!

This last Feb. we used the gift card since we could only go for 5 days. The year before they offered buy 4 get 3 AND a gift card. Now that was a nice deal. I would imagine since they are still struggling to get reservations that a 4/3 deal will come out again

That's what I remember, too. We had the whole package deal and got 3 days free of everything. Saved about 43% when all was tallied up.

I'm hoping when we got last week of Aug that the bounceback will be for Jan/Feb, otherwise I'm waiting with the rest of you for a formal announcement. We already have dates picked and flights, so just need to firm up plans.

I'm crossing my fingers for a good code, but I'm worried about blackout dates. We'll be there Jan 3-12th and I'm worried they'll black out the marathon dates which will be right in the middle of our trip.

That's us, too. I am hoping that it will be there at least the week after the half marathon since we are planning on staying after. Here's hoping..
