So you can tell from my countdown that my first trip back to WDW in 10 years isn't happening for another four months ... But why not start planning the NEXT trip now? ;-) If I know my DF, he's going to go crazy over WDW just as I did so many years ago, so I thought it would be a fantastic Christmas surprise to present him with tickets and ressies for another trip in late January/early February!

Here's the question though ... When do I start planning? Should I wait until after our Sept/Oct trip to ensure that WDW is still the magical/fantastic/amazing/etc. place that I remember it to be? DF has never been to WDW, so should I wait to see his reaction before jumping the gun on a second trip? It could be that I've worked myself up into a Disney frenzy, to the point where planning ONE trip just isn't enough anymore, but I just have a gut instinct that we're going to enjoy ourselves so much, we'll want to visit again right away!

I'd like to get ressies for Pop Century, and I know that place will fill up quick once it opens, so is planning far in advance a good idea? Out of curiousity, I checked into prices for flights in early February, but they were no different than they are now, and I know that many airlines won't even quote prices until 6 months prior to your trip dates.

I always take a peek at the countdowns of the folks posting in the threads I visit, so I know many of you have already begun planning trips that won't happen until 2004 or beyond. So help a girl out, fellow DIS members! Should I wait till our upcoming trip, or get out that credit card and start making ressies right now? Oh, and for anyone who's visited WDW in late January/early February, is that a good time of year to visit? I know the crowds will be super-low, but how about the weather?

Thanks in advance, O' Wise Ones of the DIS!

We always make reservations as soon as we know when we're going! We'll be heading down in Jan 2004 and have our rooms at AKL booked. I'll watch for discount codes starting in the fall and if nothing comes up, I'll still use the AAA discount (which I just found out about by reading these boards!!!).

I know a lot of folks here will build a vacation around good deals and flights, etc. but we can only go when we can go! So as soon as we pick dates - we book.

You KNOW you'll go back. I can tell by your post you have the fever!

::Grin:: Well! There goes my Oscar for most convincing "non-Disney-addicted" portrayl! ;)

At this rate, I'll be buying DF and I Annual Passes for Christmas as well. I feel a 2x a year Disney trend coming on!

(... Sure, I say this now, but after visiting WDW in the fall, I'll probably be planning trips every 2 months!)
