I just read something interested on the forum. If anyone has any allergies, please let me know and I will put this on the list. I'm thinking things like peanuts, in case someone gives candy?

Just thought I'd put that out there!

This is so exciting!! The FE list is growing!! I pm'd tink576 and tow-mater-1 about getting the 13 year old boys in contact with each other prior to cruising - if anyone is interested in daughters contacting, also, i have DD11 who likes to know lots of people on the cruise ship. Let me know if anyone else has DD who would like to "talk" before the cruise. :thumbsup2

We made reservations for Palo for brunch - if anyone has done this, let us know what to expect - we didn't do this on our first cruise, but decided not to miss it this time. Any info would be great - thanks!!

Happy cruisin':yay:

Just want to clarify that even though I gave our stateroom number, my mom and I will not be doing the FE. I gave our location in case we have other DISers nearby that we may be running into in the corridors. ;)

mancub - I bet you'll love the Palo brunch! I enjoy it more than Palo dinner. There's a lot of variety and it's all great. My only regret was not having the room (in my stomach - lol) to try everything, so making choices is difficult.

When is your brunch res? My mom and I will do Palo brunch on Key West day (Sunday) at 10:00 am, high tea on Monday at 3 pm, and an early dinner on Wednesday at 7 pm. She has never been to Palo and can't eat much at a time due to diabetes, but I know she'll enjoy it anyway.

Hey Joanna, I was just reading over the list of people and just wanted to let you know that NYhorsefarmMom changed her cruise so will not be joining us. Nice work btw on the FE list :thumbsup2

Thanks, Char, I knew there was someone I'd read wasn't coming, but couldn't remember who! LOL

Shari, I have you down as no FE on my list, no worries!

I have been unable to get on this board -- it seems I have to redo my password each and every time I log on. Frustrating!

Anyway....I went online on October 11 (first day for us to book Palo and excursions) and have found that there are no High Tea bookings. While I realize the previous groups may have snatched them all up, I find this highly unlikely, as there are still plenty of brunch and dinner reservations available.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? High Tea was the least well attended Palo event on our last cruise, so I thought this very surprising.

I did manage to get everything else I wanted, so YAHOOOO!!!!

That's odd. Even though I am Platinum, I didn't book high tea until a couple of days ago (sort of an afterthought and that was after the 11th) and there was plenty of availability at that time. As you said, it doesn't seem to be too popular. Unless some huge group snatched up all the ressies, I'd expect it to still be available. :confused3

I checked it earlier today and no reservations are available -- unless they're just blocking me. I knew I ate too many scones last time.............

If anyone else can get in, please let me know if it's just me they're blocking out.

Thanks,

Laura

Congratulations:thumbsup2 I can't wait until Sunday night when we can book our ressies. That's funny about the high tea, I think newby mentioned last week that she couldn't get high tea.

Still no Tea....weird...well I will be on board early to book it .....anyone want to meet for tea ..or maybe a girl's tea?..( adult girls of course!)..there is entirely too much football in January...

Another party in our group wants to be included on the fe list:

cabin 7037 2adult 2 children(10, 9)

Our Palo brunch is either on day 3 or day 6 (an 11:00) ressie - we are using a day at sea day, but I can't remember which one I decided on. Good luck with the high tea ressies, hope it goes through for you soon!!

Have to run -

Happy cruisin'!!:yay:

I think they must be holding back a certain number of Palo ressie spots (including for high tea) for onboard booking. Don't give up hope. Best of luck to everyone. pixiedust:

No problem. Boys or girls? Names?

I simply can't understand this tea debacle. It was the last subscribed on our last cruise -- when we attended, many of the tables were empty.

We became DVC members last cruise -- I wondered if others not being able to get tea reservations might also be members? Perhaps they have something else scheduled for us at tea times and are blocking us?

It's very odd, for sure.

Laura

A girl's tea would be great fun -- I know my husband enjoyed the food last time but I know that high tea is not in his Top 10 of things to do, lol!

Laura

I'm not much for Palo's high tea...however, I'm in just for the fun aspect! :grouphug:

OK well lets get a head count and figure out how to make a ressie...anyone else ...day and time anyone??
