This is our last day on land. We head to the Disney Wonder in the morning. We heard from many people prior to or trip that Animal Kingdom park was a half day. so that is what we planned for. this is where i found out how fast passes work. go figure the last dang day.
After getting to the park i tell my wife im going to get fast passes for Everest and the Safari. So the boy and i run to everest and get 4 fast passes. then we run to the safari ride and TRY and get 4 for that ride as well. but it wont let me because my card has fast passes for everest already. the lady was kind enough to print me out 4 tickets manually. now i dont know if you can have fast passes for different attractions at the same time. but she did print them out for me. how nice. so im talking to the ticket lady and she tell me that the dang passes are good ANYTIME after the time on the ticket not just for the specific time printed on the ticket. had i known this i would have fast passed everything. Grrrr so i hope this helps some of you. now on to animal kingdom.
First thing we went to was the bugs life 3d movie. this was SO cool. the whole family enjoyed it. i recommend this attraction highly. after that we were heading to asia taking in the sights and we saw that pooh eeyore and tigger we doing photos. Wife LOVES pooh so that was a must. those 3 were the only characters we stood in line for if i recall correctly. we planed on seeing them all on the ship.
next was everest. this ride just kicked but. if you read about the ride it makes it seem like any other coaster the takes up up forward then yoou do the same thing backwards. WRONG. the tracks move. so after yoou do it backwards you stop at the top and the track moves like a railroad turntable and send you down another set of tracks. was just great. and the scenery was just amazing. well worth it.
next was the safari. this was really nice as well. there are alot of different animals there. i thought it would be what we saw at the resort plus a couple others. the ride is probably 15 minutes and they make it seem like your trying to stop the elephant poachers. really cool and once again well worth the wait.
we took in a bird show which was really nice. funny and a nice relaxing 20 min in the shade. the show im speaking of in on the way to africa if i remember correctly
now we were off to Dinoland. well this is where the fun really started. we stopped to watch the monkeys and while we were standing there my daughter who cant keep her shoes on at home let alone at disney LOST her shoe in the monkey water. she was freaking out. we found a cast member and they called a zoo keeper. took them 20 min to come get the shoe and then they took it to the lab to disinfect it. they wouldnt give it to us untill it was disinfected. that took another 30 min. we sat around with a 1 shoe 8yr old who cried the whole time. LOL
after that it was like 3:30 so we needed to get to epcot so we could see the different countries and take photos.
i enjoyed the countries my favorite place was morocco the beer was good there i believe its called casa. i have really takin a like to the middle eastern music as of late and they had a band there called the moroccins. they were good. we spent like 45 min there. its a must. visit and get a beer for sure.
Italy - ok wasn't what i thought it would be.
Mexico - Boring
Norway - Awesome
Germany - Nice
Morocco - Fantastic great beer
France - Awesome and a nice beer there to.
UK - Awesome (Pub was rockin)
USA - Didn't even stop
Canada - Didn't even stop
Australia - Small if you blink your through.
China - nice
Japan - nice. kids got shaved ice there for 2.50 and i grabbed a beer wife had rice wine.
so its was now getting dark. we had planned on going back to magic kingdom to watch the firework. our feet were so soar we couldn't walk and more. but we made the trip back there to get a photo by the castle while it was lit up. we missed the fireworks though. bought some last minute gifts and headed back.
so let me wrap this up. 3 days at disney is enough to see the major stuff if you rush through it. we missed alot of little shows and things. we were on the go from 8am to midnight never going back to the resort but to sleep. we were so beat and feet were killing us. my take is if you do a 7 day you dont need to rush through it. you can go back to the resort relax and then head back out because you have the time. but will i ever spend 7 days there nope. wanna know why? Because I experienced the DISNEY CRUISE LINE..... WHOOO HOOOO
see ya tommorow.
by the way i have the pics of animal kingdom park and epcot up on my website. click my link if ya wanna see them. they turned out nice. i still building the rest of it. im working on the epcot pics now. but they are there.
