Jan 3, 2004 Magic Cruise

We ought to start talking about a meet sometime, somewhere. I'll take a picture (I'm bringing my tripod this time).

Our first full day at sea is Monday. Maybe we meet on deck 10 aft somewhere? Suggestions of other times and places?

I still have not recieved my documents! Boo Hoo! I feel left out of the loop:confused:

princess: Daisy

Send me some pixie dust please!!!

If you booked it the brown truck will come. Have faith my friends. We'll see you on the ship. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Daisy & Tammy I didn't think mine would ever come also, but when I got home from work yesterday, there they were, just lying on my front porch. Mine came Airborne Express from my TA. Of course, when you use your DVC credits they come via a slow boat from China. (just kidding) I am sure they will be there shortly. We really want you to come along and have some fun.

Brack Jeanny is trying to get a meet together on the day in Key West in the morning. (I know, really early for me too!). I also like your idea during the day at sea for a meet. I think we can do both. Make the plans and let all of us know what is happening.

Best to all and the time is really getting short now. 31 days to go.

I think that would be a great idea to also have a meet while at sea (I don't think I will be able to make the first meet in the morning as I don't adjust well to the 3hour time change:rolleyes: ) but still want to meet everyone!!

:bounce: will be time to set sail before we know it!

the first sea day sounds fine to me, I had suggested Sunday because I know Saturday is going to be C-R-A-Z-Y!! Monday is good too, anyone else up for Monday???

AnnMorin is going to check out Diversions on deck 9 to see what it looks like next week when she sails and I asked Poopie to check it on while on the ship this week also... never hurts to get all sorts of opinions and suggestions. I just figured get some place warm and out of the weather in case it's breezy up there... Of course, being from the frozen North, I forget it can actually be warm in January....

brack, pm me and we'll get plans together!

hello :earsboy:

this is my first post here & i am happy to say that i (along with 31 of my family members and friends) will be joining you on the january 3rd cruise!! :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:
we too are counting down the days and can't wait.

i do have one question for people who have kids. i have been on the cruise before, but my son has never been old enough to do any of the kids activities. my question is this, my son is almost 4 years old, has down syndrome, and is not potty trained completely, will he be unable to do any activities in the oceaneers club because he isn't potty trained? we don't want him to go for a full day or anything, just maybe an hour or so of activities/crafts on the days at sea. we really try to include him in as many activities with other kids as we can so he can have a chance to socialize and "be a kid". anyone have any experience with this?? any advice would be greatly appreciated.:teeth:

thanks, and hope to see you all there!:wave2: pam

well MickeyMom1,
I'm not sure about the Kid's Clubs, but I'm sure someone will be able to answer soon.

Welcome to you and your familiy to the DisBoards and to our January 3rd cruise. You'll meet many, many friends.. last time I checked, there were about 20 or so Dis Families sailing... We may be taking over the ship :boat:

Pam, welcome aboard.

If I read the paperwork correctly that comes with the tickets, (the little booklet about 2/3 way through) they don't take children into any of the "clubs" that are not potty trained. I would, however, make an effort on the day of sailing to contact the cast members at the Oceaneer Club and ask if you can be with the child while the activities are being conducted. They do allow parents/guardians to be present in the club for most activities. I have found that DCL makes as much accomodation for their guests as they can.

And did I read your post correct 31 family and friends? Wow, what a party you're going to have.

Again welcome aboard.

Monday sounds great for a meet. Count us in!

Welcome aboard Pam! The more the merrier.

ps: less than 30 days now!
:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Yes, we're now under 30 days!!!! I just can't wait for the kids to find out about the cruise so I can share in the excitment with my family.

I'm ready for that warm sunshine right now... I've already snow blowed (if there even such a word!!) my driveway twice now, and the plow man keeps going by and putting it all back at the end of my driveway...I cleared out the end of my neighbors driveway once and the plow man came back around...He doesn't even look when I'm begging him not to plow us back in!!

expecting the storm to end sometime tomorrow with up to 24 inches of snow...I'm not going into work this afternoon, I'm having my work study student open the Fitness Center for the few crazy students who will venture out in this crazy weather!!

The only good thing about it is, my dog is outside loving the snow!!! he has on his fur coat, so he's nice and toasty!! looks like a polar bear when he comes in!
4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks!! Carolyn~ what's the weather like down there now???

I have searched and researched--finally got a reservation for $83.30 at the Radisson. Just a standard room, not the suite.

I was going to do the reservation on their site for $89.00, but got this price from cheaptickets! First time I've ever used them. Even cheaper than expedia!

I also printed out the $79 coupon from roomsavers.com, but may not bother with that since the difference is not too much.

So in case you are looking to find a place to stay, try cheaptickets for prices! I had never even thought of using them for hotels!!!

Soon, we will be there!!!!:Pinkbounc

Tammy

Jeanny~yesterday was sunny, warm and 80. Today, we had a cold front move in and it's windy, though sunny, and a high of 65. Tomorrow is supposed to be alittle warmer and by Wednesday it will be back to 84.
I'm sending warm and sunny thoughts your way!!
