Originally he didn't want to come to the tasting, but when he saw the cute FE gifts he wanted to get to know the people behind them.
We should have come earlier but our daughter took a long time getting settled in the kids club.

Man those four nights just flew by. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

Our kids loved it and are now looking forward to their next sailing December of 2013. Although I'm sure they would love something sooner. Pesky school interfering with vacation ambitions.

I feel like doing the parks again will be such a pain compared to how relaxing and enjoyable the cruise was. I didn't have the patience for the pushiness of the people in the parks after the cruise. It wasn't as enjoyable as it normally was after the cruise for me anyways.

We had such an amazing time! It was everything we'd hoped for and more... the only down side is that it went by so quick. (and I could feel the ocean that first night terrible, so went to bed early 10:30pm).

I'm so glad for the DISboards, and tips and reading navigators, etc.. it certainly made knowing what to expect and planning for the trip easier. I felt we had everything prepared that we needed, and just rode out everything else.
Sorry didn't get to meet up with anyone, but we had a fantastic time and loved our new table mates. We had second seating, which I loved.
Our girls 13, & Twins 10, all ended up going to the 'older' kids clubs. so our oldest went to Vibe and the twins went to Edge, with our signed waiver. They LOVED LOVED LOVED it! I couldn't believe how awesome they had such a great time and my wife and I did too!
We still got together for the shows and ports (Castaway Cay was unbelievable paradise!), and for dinner, but as soon as they were awake, they were off to the clubs and after dinner too.

I loved the food, I was a little worried about it due to some reviews, but besides the pizza being a little short of cardboard, I loved everything else. (the pannini's from flo's were so awesome as a pre-dinner snack before our evening shows, lol )

We did theme parks prior to the cruise and they were fantastic too, and I liked ending on the cruise, relaxing. The weather was so nice.. save a little windy.. but was warm enough for us from Oregon.
We hope to do again, but alas, it was probably a once in a life trip for us. Next trip is a east coast DC, capital and New York visit in 2013!

We had such an amazing time on this cruise. It was our first but it won't be our last . We have booked on the Fantasy for November.

Thank you all for all the wonderful FE gifts! They were so creative! It was the highlight of our son's trip, coming back to find surprises in our FE.

Sorry we were not able to make the meet-up. We flew in from the morning of the cruise (won't do that again) so we were so tired from all the travelling.

Loved every minute of the cruise (except for the cold I caught which kept me in bed for most of our sea day). The service was outstanding. The weather held up great for us.

We did the parks after the cruise and were extremely disappointed by it. We stayed at a deluxe hotel (big splurge for us) and found the service terrible. Not worth the money at all. Noone seemed to know how to process our cards for the dining plan which was not explained well to us either. Half of the Magic Kingdom seemed to be under construction and the people working there were miserable. Have never experienced such bad service at the parks. Our son hated it and I can say for sure we will not be back! Too bad because we have always loved going to Disney. It really made us sad.

But the cruise was AMAZING!!!! Counting the days till we go back!

Hope everyone else had fun and I hope Tigger and Bubba got our FE gift. We dropped it off with a lady who was working in the area who assured us it would be brought to their room.

We broke into the Concierge area to leave it for them! My son and I went around delivering the gifts late the first night when we came across the gate. We decided because it was late that we would wait until another day and try again.

We went back in the early afternoon the next day and there was someone cleaning the glass doors. I asked for his assistance but he stated he was new and didn't feel confortable. He directed us to someone with more experience with the cruise line. The problem was that it was a drink server who kept moving further and further away. So rather than chase the random DCL employee, I said we should stand off to the side a bit and wait.

My theory was that another employee would come along and we could ask them for assistance. As we were waiting, a teenager came out of the hall way. The lock didn't catch properly so the door was just the tiniest amount open. I hollered to my son and we ducked into the hall. I was so excited to get in that I forgot to leave my paper stating who the gifts were from though! Haha. We were lucky and ended up in the correct hallway so didn't have to pull the same trick on the other side.

It was so memorable for my seven year old, he told my mother-in-law about our sneaking onto the 12th floor when we got back. She asked me about it this morning.

Sorry to hear the second part of your trip was disappointing.

I am glad you liked your gifts. I enjoyed yours too> I am Canadian despite now living in the US, so it's nice to have something from there for sentimental reasons. I think all the Canadians gave smarties out

I am curious if she went and wrote her own report or was telling others about all of the obnoxious people that wouldn't let her film at the Pirate Party.

We were on the deck by the steps and some lady came and stood right in front of myself and my four year old when the fireworks were going off blocking both of our views. I guess they couldn't see well enough in their deck chairs off to the side. I thought that was pretty rude to stand directly in front of others that are sitting out of courtesy so that others could see but I kept my mouth shut.

Hi, we've just got back home.
Thank you for all the cute FE gifts, it was the cruise highlight for our daughter, when she called my mother from Frankfurt airport the first thing she told her was, that she should start buying FE gifts for our 02/13 cruise .
Unfortunately I was was too tired for the meet, I barely made it to the end of the show.
Has anybody of you been to the champagne tasting??? We arrived last and couldn't find our tickets so my husband had to run to guest services to get new ones, maybe somebody noticed us .
We had quite an eventful vacation, first our daughter caught an awful cold on the ship so that we had to go to the doctor on board (very nice, very reassuring, and the medication was really cheap).
And when we went to WDW after the cruise my husband bumped into another car, so we got to meet a sheriff and a state trooper, it was pretty cool, usually we see sheriffs only on TV. Thankfully I'm an insurance freak, so it doesn't cost us anything, neither the accident nor the doctor .

It was nice meeting you, your DH and DD. Sorry to hear DD caught a cold and that DH got to meet a sheriff and state trooper. But the stories he will have for a long time.

Time just flew by on this cruise, 4 days is way too short. Had a great server at dinner and were totally spoiled by our Head Server, Nondu. It was nice to see so many CM's on board that we knew.

Booked the May 2013 PC cruise for DD & I to tack onto our LA-Vancouver repo and first AK cruise. Not sure if I'll keep the booking or not, but it's nice to know the option is there if we want to be on the Wonder for 4 weeks.

We didn't make it to any of the tastings or shows this time, time just flew by.

Looking forward to the next cruise in Sept.

I would love to fathom four weeks on a ship but my husband would KILL me.

I booked us for a seven day one next year and he's already complaining. He was ready to get off the ship after the four nights we had (crazy guy). I was looking at booking the 4 night Dream right after the 7 night Fantasy for next Christmas and he vetoed that idea.

My husband loved it because he had no mobile phone reception at all. Usually he gets hundreds of work related mails a day and he just can't ignore them, this time he could truly relax, it hasn't been like that since we visited a tiny island in Malaysia two years ago, he loved it.

Last year he got a call on the 23 rd of december from a business partner who told him he had to come to Pristina the next day, being a Muslim he didn't understand what the big deal was. Of course my husband didn't go, but that's how our every day live is. Escaping on a ship, even if it's a Disney ship obviously seems more appealing to him. All the better for me.

Yesterday it got almost scary: he asked his father if he would do a Disney cruise with us some day

I will do Alaska within the next three years, it's my new project.
It's such a pity that there are no school holidays in May as I would love a transatlantic cruise, too.

Hello everyone!
I am finally back in my own home. I am disappointed I didn't make an extra effort to meet some/all of you.

I do want to thank everyone for the FE gifts! Rest assured we received them all. The boys really enjoyed them and continue to do so. Right now there is a Canadian magnet on Esteban's fridge. I packed an extra suitcase full of their "goodies" for the return trip to Costa Rica. They also had a great time delivering gifts. Thanks again to everyone.

I found this trip much different than our normal Disney experience. The boys didn't care for the shows (language and culture barrier). They also didn't utilize the club much. Felipe had a hard time with English and was not comfortable there. Esteban enjoyed the club but it was better to stay together. Sooo...I spent most of my time translating for them and my husband. (he does not speak Spanish, meaning I was translating both ways). I was very happy menu's were available in Spanish for the boys.
So there wasn't much time to interact with other cruisers.
