Jan 2010 deal!!

Just got off the phone with DL again for the second time today. I was told "the rates will be in the system tomorrow".

Yep I was told the same thing each one of the 8x's :scared1: I called today trying to book that rate.
After the first 3 calls I told the cast member not to get mad at me if she happens to be one of the ones later in the day that takes my call asking if they can do it yet, because I was going to call every hour or hour and a half.
I really wanted to go to bed with my dates hooked up as we will be Celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary and our daughters sweet 16 on this trip  :dance3:

Anyhow I guess I ma just over determined and yep I am ready to take vigil by the phone tomorrow until my DL trip is booked and all systems are a go...........................................................
I tell ya Disney brings out the mad women in me in a good way though...problem is I can't focus on anything other than this trip right..........oh I take that back I did take enought time away from thinking about getting those rates and our trip to sing a christmas song and think about the most wonderful time of the year:yay:

Im a little bummed that they did not get it into the system today and I really hope that they have it by tomorrow because I am an over anxious person and the anxiety is building and causing me to be very antsy....LOL

Ok so I just thought of something....my 8th call was at 4:30 I wonder if I should go for broke and try again and then 1 more time and make it a 10 call day.
Maybe I will get lucky and the last call they will say we just go them loaded in the system:banana:

I got an email from Disney Destinations today (PIN Code) about a new promo for Jan also, but it is not the 3 for 5 deal, it is for free dining. It is pretty much like free dining at WDW; 1 Character meal, one table/counter, and one snack. My friend received the 3 for 5 deal email (also a PIN).

They are both for the same dates in January.

Wow! Free Dining promotion at DLR? Interesting. Anyone ever done that before?:confused3 I wonder if this is something new DLR is trying?
Are you going to use the PIN code?

I'm wondering about free dining too....the dining plan at DLR is not even close to the one at WDW.....

No. I am going on the DisBoards ABD Backstage Magic Trip in April. My family also wants groceries. I would love to go, but right now, I don't want to overstress our finances. I really thought about it though!

Hey while we are all waiting so very patiently :rolleyes1 for these rates to come up do you all want to share when you are going so we can see how many DISers may be down there during our time?

Usually when we go down I get a little gift upon arrival and carry it with me and should I run into another DISer while I am on my trip I give them the gift. It has been a real fun thing to do.

So with that being said we are going to be there for 4 nights checking into to DLH on Tuesday January 5th and checking out on Saturday January 9th 2010.

WOW!!! Thats great. I have only ever seen these types of offers for WDW.
It appears as though Disney is bound and determined to do what ever it takes to keep those flood gates open and encourage attendance.
Good for them great for us that we have so many different offers to take advantage of.

DH got the free dining promo email, I got

Choose the deal that’s right for you:

Kids 3–9 play FREE*!

(With the purchase of a 4-night/5-day
Disneyland® Resort vacation package.)

or

Everyone plays at the kids’ price*!

Disneyland® Resort vacation package.)

How do you get picked to get a voucher? Is it just random emails you receive? Just thought I would check.

Which deal was not in the computer on Monday, free dining? I hope they got my buy 3 get 2 right because it was a lot cheaper than I thought it should be. I was on the phone for about an hour with them and they had to call me back later to confirm that it was done.

Maybe I should call today to double check.

Huh! I got a different PIN code than either of the two above. Mine is 4th night free when you pay full price for the first 3 days and book a package. Not useful to me, since we have APs. Anyway, here's the one I got:

For those of you waiting for the APH rate to finally be released, just go online. I have been calling since Saturday and no one could pull up the rate. I have been watching the online calendar too and it hasn't gone down to $139 yet. But, I decided to put in my January dates and it gave me the $139 rate per night for PP! I was so happy to be able to book and not have to call Disney again! :)

Ah! You're right! Thanks so much!! PPH = $139 std, DLH = $149, GCH = $213.

Now to decide whether I want to keep my $59 room at Hojo's or go for the $149 DLH room...we're splitting 3 ways so it's $22 pp vs $60 :dance3: and, well, it IS my birthday...but I'm pretty tapped out and that cost difference would get me 20 Mickey truffles...:confused3

Where are you finding this at????

I am on the phone now and those are the rates I am being quoted for end of January. Woo hoo!!! $213 a night rocks. :cool1: I am booked!!!

So frustrating I called and asked what the AP rate was and got those same quotes. I told her I had an existing rate an a non AP rate that I booked last week because it was lower than the AP rate at the time. She punched in the confirmation and said the system wouldn't recognize the new rate and was saying that the AP rate was 320.

Why would she quote me the one rate on a new reservation, but when she tries to modify the existing one it reverts to the same rate that is on the calendar still?

You need to call back and get someone that has a clue what they are doing. I have had a room booked at GC and have now modified it twice as the rate keeps getting lower. It can be done and has been done for me, I just think you are getting someone that does not have knowledge on how to do it. :confused3

HELP...I'm lost?!?!?!?! And I'm usually pretty good at getting all this. Let me see if I'm understanding...

1. All the emails/pin code offers you guys are getting are offers that only you guys can get (with the codes) right?

2. I was at Disneyland.com and saw the 5 for 3 (I like to stay at the Grand) but when I got the results it was the same price as just putting in the dates on the homepage (getting the same results I've been getting for WEEKS/MONTHS?!?!?!) about 2,100.00

3. The dining package...that would actually work for us...but is that an AP thing only? I can't figure that offer out??

Bit about us...2 adults 2 kids (3 & 9) going first of March (flexible dates) just like to go off season and not on weekends. Usually go Mon - Fri and spend 3 days in the park...I use the travel days for Goofy's Kitchen and DD.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Kelie

What number have you been calling? Would that make a difference? Should I call the number on the confirmation email or the one on the backstage pass?
