I just got off the phone with the cast member, I was asking about the getaway rate that appears on the website. Apparently this is only for hotels and won't apply to my package , but she said if I call back on Nov 9 that they will be offering buy 3 get 2 free deal. I had figured it would only be about $150 more for me to do DL hotel instead of Camelot with the getaway rate and she figured it up with buy 3 get 2 and it's about the same thing. I think she said the tickets will have some sort of discount too.

OK Januariers, get ready to call on Monday!!!!! This makes me 87% more excited about my trip!

The Getaway rate has been available for a few days, there is a thread on it. You do not need to have a package to get that rate. There is a new APH rate that has been posted in the Winter AP newsletter however the CM's as of yesterday were reporting this will not be available until Monday. Not sure if that is true as I have not called today but the AP website this a.m. was not showing it.

The Getaway rate was about 30% off of the rack rate.

Is there any deals for the Disney hotels in Feb? For AP's or whatever? We are staying at Paradise Pier the end of Feb and already booked our room but if any better rates come out I would LOVE to re-book at a better rate!!!

They have up to 30% off rack rate for 2 or more nights. Also they have the 5 for 3 promotion again.

I called this a.m. as well. The "APH" rate for annual passholders is not in the system (at least when I called). Your options are either the Getaway rate for 2 nights or more or the buy 3 get 2 free deal. DS is the only one of the three of us that needs the hopper and I cannot get the 2 free deal unless we buy hoppers for DH and I. Kinda strange I thought because it is still a package even if only one person is getting a hopper in my book.

My credo is that if I don't get the answer I want on the first call, I call again. I give myself 3 calls and if I get the same response every time, I accept it. 95% of the time I eventually get what I want . Try calling again!

I was hoping they would offer hotel-only AP rates for January, as mentioned in the newsletter ("Paradise Pier starting at $139..."). So far today, nothing.

It is 30% off rack rate. I have GC at $245 a night right now, hotel only. Just trying to get it lower. I paid $221 last year for the same dates........I am working it.

APH rates are not showing up online either via the AP website so I am just going to wait for another day and see what happens.

That's what I'm doing, too--waiting until tomorrow. My problem is I'm only staying 1 night so the Getaway rate doesn't do me any good (2 night minimum).

Wanted to post my update because I'm so excited

I just upgraded my package from 5 nights, 4 day park hopper at Camelot to 5 night, 5 day park hopper at DL hotel for only $70 more!!!!

I didn't realize how much more excited I would be about staying on property. I don't think that good neighbors are a good choice for me, I just love the idea of being totally immersed in the magic. I work an extra job just to pay for my vacations, so I might as well splurge a little right?

Since it was so little extra I was really close to pricing the GC, oh well I guess I don't need it since I'm going with 2 kids and no hubby!

I got an email from Disney Destinations today (PIN Code) about a new promo for Jan also, but it is not the 3 for 5 deal, it is for free dining. It is pretty much like free dining at WDW; 1 Character meal, one table/counter, and one snack. My friend received the 3 for 5 deal email (also a PIN).

They are both for the same dates in January.

Wow! Free Dining promotion at DLR? Interesting. Anyone ever done that before? I wonder if this is something new DLR is trying?
