We will be in the world for a short trip in January 2010-wondering what are the chances that we will get a bounce back offer for our week long trip we want to take Aug 12-19th while we are there. Also, any other kind of offers that may be available during this time

Just wondering if I should go ahead and book the room now and wait to see if something comes up later, or if I should wait for any promos/discounts

I'm using the travel agency/booking company advertised on here Dreams Unlimited Travel (which is free of charge) and they state that if any discount comes around between now and my trip they will apply it to the price. I had originally planned for a trip in December but that fell through so now the plan is the 31st of Jan through the 6th of Feb. Not sure if any deals or anything will come about but the person that is working with me on the trip has said any discounts that come out between now and the trip will be applied. So far I have been right impressed with our agent...

love your name, sorry I don't know the answer to your question --but I was wondering are you going to the Sanddollar meet in Jan for your short trip?

Yes - we will be attending the Sand Dollar Meet (3rd year in a row) My daughter is a Level 9 (coming back from a broken hand and surgery in April)

Hopefully we will have good weather - at least warmer than Wisconsin

We went this past January & they did have a BB in the room-35% off room rate-for different dates in Aug, but had to book before we left & decided not too-glad b/c we were able to take advantage of FD in August & that was a better deal for us.

Just returned and they offered a bounceback for Aug 14/15? through Sept 30 of 2010. You might just want to book and then change to FD when they announce in March/April.

This will be the first time for us at this meet, my daughters a level 7. Heard this is a really nice meet.
I just booked my airfare - Southwest just opened up for the end of Jan, but now we wait for a good deal for the room.
