Jan 2007 codes?

I just wanted to let anyone know if they need a reservation for Jan 4th thru 8th, mousefantravel has a 4 night package starting at 170 for 4 nights. It is only good for those 4 night, and you cannot add on the dining plan, but i'm sure someone will be able to use this.

I just wanted to say I called last night and one cm told me mid oct for codes. I called back with another ? and asked again and was told sometime around Thanksgiving for Jan/Feb codes so unsure who to believe but both did seem to know/think that there would be some kind of code/special and were quick to give a date of when to expect them to be announced. Hope that helps a little!!!

I may be way off base, but I suspect all these CMs are just guessing. They may be 'educated guesses' but still guesses nonetheless.

Would Disney really give information on if/when codes would be released to customer service CMs so far in advance? Maybe they would. I'm thinking not.

Like any office I'm sure there are rumors swirling. You have to understand these people are fielding calls all day and they must get swamped when a deal comes out so they are probably trying to get that day off or are complaining they have to work that first shift of the deal. It's just office banter.

I just called Disney reservations and AP rates have not been released for Jan 07 yet.

just called and downgraded my ressie to allstar movie, and gave up my fort wilderness ressie for 3rd week in January (in case anyone wants it,
but i did not find the hotels as blocked out as some have said)
kind of bummed but, but can not swing the extra expense.
I am not there for the hotel anyway. maybe some day.

i also grilled the CM for the codes release date,
and just to show you the other side of the spectrum.
she told me the codes for january would not be out till December!

That's because I have booked a room and I am normally a code jinx.

I'm sure if I cancel, a code will come out right away. And if I cancel, then rebook because of the code, they will immediately cancel the code.

I'm so glad to know it's you that is causing my problems. I was afraid to book because I might put the jinx on it, but knowing it is you has freed me up to go ahead and make my reservations thank you so much for taking guilt out of my guilt-laden life.

anybody have any idea what the rates are usually like in January? Are we talking September/Hurricane season rates like an AP rate of $59 per night at a value or $140 at WL or AKL? I would LOVE to go back to WL, but I need it to be a great rate!

We paid 125.00/night standard view at AKL last January, give or take a couple of dollars. It was with Best Rates/AP. I'm pretty sure they offered a similar AP rate after the Best Rates program was eliminated though. I seem to recall thinking I could still have gotten that rate even if I hadn't gone through Best Rates, but I'm not positive.

i knew i should have stayed with wilderness and looked for the bigger discount!

I guess so, but I don't look at it like that. I look at what I can spend, not what I can save. So if I can afford the level of my choice I take that and hope for a discount. If I really wanted to stay at WL, I would book it and hope for a code. If a code came out, I save money to use on my trip. No code, I still have the room I want. If you look at the way you have it, you can see the savings, but what are you spending?

Sorry, no I don't know for sure, but I know Mousesavers has a record of when codes are released.

The Best Rates Program was also still in place--no longer the case, so this might not help a lot.

In 2005, before BRP, late October was the release for Jan. codes. Hope this helps.

Hi everybody! I'm kind of new to these codes & rates things!

Let me see if I got this right.

We booked with CAA (Canadian AAA)
POrt Orleans Riverside January 1st to 6
Meal Plan
5 days Pass (no hopping or nothing)

If a code comes out, what happens? We cannot have the AAA discount and the code savings?????? Help me understand!
If we can have both, is it my TA job or do I call Disney myself????

Last year I think it was the "water parks et fun" that was the special at that time....
