Jan. 18-25 Western Report

Wow Tracy, that sounds really good! We did Discovery Cove last summer and your experience sounds much better and it is cheaper. I really like interacting with dolphins. I will definitely check into this. Is this a cruise excursion or did you do it on your own? Thx

We did this on our own. The Dolphin Discovery people are great. Dolphindiscovery.com

we were on the Monarch of the Seas docked next to the Magic in Cozumel. We just booked this cruise last min. and didn't want to spend a lot of money because of Wonder cruise in March. We went to national park too and did it on our own. We brought our own snorkle gear and snacks so whole day of snorkling only cost us the price of a taxi and 2 tickets into park. I thought for sure we were going to sink on Fri. creaking and slamming noises all day and night. At one point I think waves lifted us up (our room was right in front of ship, deck 2,)and it felt like we were riding the Tower of Terror ride at DW! I wondered what it was like on the Magic that day and hoped someone would do a report. Sounds pretty much the same as our experience- I am really enjoying your report. Thanks for helping me relive our trip through your report.

This was our 4th Disney cruise- second on the Magic. We first sailed during the Inagural Season. I was very suprised at the overall condition of disrepair of the ship. I also noticed how dirty it was. I know it is scheduled for a mandatory "Dry Dock" time later this year and it will gone over and completely cleaned and refurbished. Palo is kept clean and in "Excellent" shape, but the rest of the ship needs some attention!

I also could not believe the casual dress of passengers. We followed the dress code and felt very over dressed! I just wondered if it was because of sailing in the off season. I could not believe the attire in Palo. The dress code should be inforced as strictly as the age requirement is-especially at Palo.

We sailed the Maiden Voyage of the Wonder (MOST AWESOME EXPERIENCE). Captain Tom was the Captain for the Maiden Voyage of both the Magic and the Wonder. When we greeted him at the Captain's Cocktail this sailing, his words were, (as he shook my husband's hand) "I believe we've met." I could not believe it . That was Aug 99!
