Hi all! I'm trying to get my head around my crazy situation and every thing in order to be able to book the January 07 MYW package plus Park Hopping and Waterparks and more at the end of this week. This will be for one night only, January 26, 2007.
Background - My family of four (2A, 2C)has traded our timeshare into DVC at VWL January 27 - Feb 3, 2007. We have a two bedroom which we intend to share with another family of four (2A, 2C). The two adults in the other family are Cast Members. With their passes, they will be able to sign all of us in. All 8 of us will be on the DDP for all seven nights at VWL.
This is tenative. The dad in the other family has Stage 3 cancer and they have not yet booked their airfare. My family was going on this trip and since we lucked out on the two bedroom, we invited the other family knowing that this could be the trip of a lifetime for them and a chance for us to provide a much needed extra pair of hands on a busy vacation. We will go on the trip regardless if they cancel, and expect to pay for tickets as needed.
Now, here is my dilemma. I currently have a rack rate pool view at AKL on 1/26/2007 for my family's arrival day. I would like to add DDP, but I know that a one day MYW ticket is needed for our family of four to make a package. Now that the MYW plus free park hopping & waterparks is going to be available, I'm tempted to do it for at least one day.
Can I take that 1 day MYW(now with free PH and Waterparks) and save it until our next trip then use it to upgrade to a 7 or 10 day? Would you consider it money well spent as I would be "saving" almost $400 in PH and waterpark upgrade for my next vacation(as long as I could apply that to a longer length ticket)? Could I buy the 1 day ticket and if the other family is not able to come on the trip add more days to my ticket? Am I making this too hard?
