We decided to pop over to Epcot for RD this morning and were surprised to see JAMMitors show up around 8:20am. They played for about 10 minutes. Then the CM's introduced a family with a child who had a birthday who had been asked to help open the park. The crowd wished Happy Birthday and they "opened the park", triggering the Welcome to Epcot "Good Morning" message.

A wonderful start to our Epcot morning.

Awesome. Love the Jammitors! They were there at opening when we were there in August. Was hoping to see them on our Epcot day last week, but no luck. They are amazing!

That is a great idea. They often show up and play to a modest sized crowd - maybe 30-40 people. This should have been a great crowd to play for, and a good way to pass some time while stuck in line. I hope they keep this up.

That's fun! They should do that every morning. Maybe feature a different band from other countries every day.

That would be a good idea, except that those bands don't normally arrive until after WS opens at 11am. (JAMMitors are already regularly scheduled in the mornings.)
With the way Disney is so tight with money these days, paying the bands for those extra hours needed to arrive early seems unlikely.

Yes! As we mostly do rope drop we enjoyed the Welcome shows. I know it sounds a bit silly but it did make us feel "welcome". It would be nice to have them return.
