We just returned from the Fantasy 5/4/2013 cruise. We were able to book this future cruise while on board. Over the next few days I'll try to catch up with everyone by reading all the posts to this thread.

:welcome: calker :welcome:

This is agreat group... can't wait to meet you. So who will be traveling with you?

It will just be my husband (Alan) and I (Terry) on this cruise.

Cool...There are a lots of folks traveling without kids this trip :cool1: :cool1:

I can't wait to see the Fantasy!!! Have you been on other Disney ships? How did it compare? We have a few cruisers on here that have been on the larger DCL ships. We've been on Wonder and Magic. :boat:

Did you participate in the FE on your last cruise? Let me know if you'd like to be add to ours.

Welcome calker!

We've been on the Fantasy once before, Dream once, and I have been on the Magic but my husband has not.

We have sailed on the Magic, Wonder, and Fantasy during their Inaugural sailing years. Since the Magic and Wonder sailings were so long ago, I only remember being totally in awe.

We just completed our second Fantasy cruise this past Saturday and were still in awe.

We want to do the Dream - but I really prefer the longer trips - I don't like the short three and four day sailings. If they ever change the itinerary, we'll be on a sailing.

We did take part in the FE (our very first) during the most recent Fantasy cruise and really enjoyed it. Lots of fun returning to our cabin to find surprises every day!

We would definitely like to be added to the FE list. Thank you.

Welcome to everyone!!

We just got back from a very impromptu Disney trip. I booked the hotel Thursday night and left Friday morning :) Nico went up to DC to hang out with my mom, but we are now back to normal. (That term is used lightly)

I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother's Day Weekend. :goodvibes

Wish we lived close enough to drop in on The Mouse ::MickeyMo

I think I am going to get AP's next Mother's Day because it was honestly so pretty, I want to go back again. I loved that you could walk through Epcot and smell the flowers. Way better then people that smell. ;)

I might be switching kids on this cruise. Julie might be going on the Wonder and Sam might be switching to this cruise.

My life with three kids

:confused3 So why trhe switch??? Remind me how old is Sam?

Samantha is 9. Julie is telling me she wants to try to go to middle school. It's the first time ever any of my kids have said they wanted to go to middle school. Up until now, she has always insisted on skipping it and home schooling.

My kids start the first week of Aug and she would be missing 4 days of school. I just got a phone call because she missed 5 days this year (I thought they could have no more than 5 :confused3)

Sams was over our spring break because I know she will miss a lot of days. The difference is Sam is in a charter school and they are so good about letting me take her whenever. (At least thus far they have been)

All that being said, Julie is a better age for this cruise. Im more limited with Sam and the activities I can do with her. Plus, she was bummed she had B2B cruise so hers was 9 nights. LOL!

I'm not going to make a change or switch until I get back from my 8 countries this summer. I leave for Jamaica in just over two weeks and come back to turn around and leave for another 6-7 weeks. I'll be able to talk to all of the kids, but I know if she wants to try middle school, I should let her.

WOW Let us know what you think of Jamaica since thats where we are going as well on the cruise. And again do you think we can fit in one of your suitcases ;)

Have fun with your travels!

I've been busy lately with work related things between my husband & I. We're going to play stay-at-home tourists tomorrow and visit the Henry Ford & Edison Summer Houses tomorrow. No beach this weekend as I had too much sun last weekend & I'm still feeling it now ><

Sabrina hopes Julie stays on this cruise. She's been having such fun chatting with her on the KIDS ONLY thread. :dance3:

I agree... I want to hear all about Jamaica. Are you going to a resort? Are the kids going with you?

I'll have Nico with me in Jamaica. He was invited to play soccer over there and train with one of their best strikers (soccer).

They offered to take him alone, but Nico is only 12. He plays with high school juniors and seniors here, but he's still too young to go overseas by himself. And yes, I am aware Messi was taken at 12 to Barcelona, but that is not the same thing. (HA HA, can you tell I had this conversation with him)

We are staying in Montego Bay, RIU Ocho Rios. We have a bus taking us into Kingston for the games. Not sure how much information I will have on the place since I will be spending most of the time on a soccer field. I will take him to an orphanage (he's never seen anything like that) and into the country to see a different side of things. Outside of the resorts, there are extremely poverty ridden areas.

I'll be able to really talk to Julie this summer. Having really only 2 weeks until I am gone, there are too many errands to run. Typhoid meds need to be filled, Visas for China, at some point I might :laundy: and pack.:rotfl2:

Lise - Julie loves that thread as well. She is my one child that looks forward to attending school everyday. We will see.

Dis Yoda - I hope your sun clears up soon. Enjoy your local exploring weekend. Sounds like a relaxing fun time.

Maiyoli - you are more than welcome on any of our vacations :goodvibes I'm out numbered with kids and an extra set of hands would be a nice welcome. :) I am taking my cousin to Fiji for that exact reason. My kids all wanted to go parasailing and horseback riding on the beach. I needed help and since he is in San Fran, it was less expensive to fly him with me than someone from DC area. The more the merrier I always say :joker:

Is Julie currently in 4th or 5th grade? Does middle school start with 6th were you are? :teacher:

Sabrina is in school 'til June 12. Are all the other kids out already?

Think next year at this time we'll be just a summer away from our cruise together. :beach:
