Hi Jamie, it is so good to see you! I am sorry things have been so busy, that makes it hard to make you a priority! Not gaining any weight during this busy, stressful time is a huge accomplishment. And one donut does not a diet disaster make! Just keep focused, you can do this, you ARE doing it!

And I am sorry sorry your sister's ex is getting out of jail. I will really keep her in my prayers, that is a very scary situation. It sounds like she is really doing a great deal to be prepared and proactive. I agree with Amy, maybe the scumbag will just leave the country by himself. I hope so.
 
You'll get back into the swing of things soon. Winter will be gone before you know it and you'll be able to get your a.m. exercising in again! :yay:
 
Welcome back Jamie! Good job not gaining during this stressful time. That is a victory. It really is hard to exercise when it is cold, but I'm sure you will get back into it. And the snow shovelling does count too! Winter can't last forever either and spring will arrive eventually. Your food looks good and it is great that you are getting your water in.

Hello everyone,

Wow is all I can say. What a crazy few weeks I have had. I have logged on and that is as far as I have gotten. Every time I sit down to journal, something happens. Both at work and at home.

I realized last night that I have to do this. Whatever is calling me has to wait at least 10 minutes. Unless of course the house is on fire, but other than that everyone can wait 10 minutes. It does not take that long to journal...so I have to get better at it. I must......

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers for my sister. I know I have not been here much, but I really appreiacate it. I just hope that the dirtbag, I have other words for my sister's ex, but since this is a family board, I can't use them! I just hope that he leaves the country and does not come back. He mentioned to my sister once that if he got out he was going to China. Good, Go! Leave.

Anyway, I have been doing okay, up until yesterday. Wow yesterday was a bad day all around. I ate anything and everything that was put in front of me. We had pizza at work, DH wanted pizza for dinner, so there was no self control there. I love pizza and I have not had any in a while, so I made up for it. The pizza didn't go too well with the tummy, but it was good when I was eating it. But oh so bad. So I made myself a promise that I am going to get back on track, I don't care what it takes. I think jounraling it will help, so I must start doing that again. On the good side, my water intake has been great! I am getting 100oz in each day, sometimes more. Not sure why my body wants all this water but it does!!!! So that is good.

We are waiting on more snow again today. Hopefully it won't be too much, but ya never know here. Saturday we were in a blizzard warning and it was not even snowing at the house. So I don't know. I am just ready for the warm weather. We had been teased a while back when were in the high 50's and low 60's I was ready to be warm.

I am going to sign up for the March exercise challange, I hope that will help me get moving again. I was ready to get out of bed this morning and work out, but I was not feeling all that great because of my pizza binge yesterday so I stayed in bed. I am hoping to get out of work earlier today so I can go home and work out. We will see thouhg, it is month end and that usually means that I am crazy busy!

Thank you everyone for all your support, I know I could not do it without you. And thank you for keeping my sister and the kids in your thoghts. I really appreciate it.

I am going to try and get caught up on journals today, but if I dn't get to everyone, please know that I am thinking of each of you.

Welcome Back, Jamie! You've been going through a lot lately, and I'm VERY proud that you haven't gained! What an accomplishment!!!

I hope the rest of the week is good for you. And if you get more snow(which my weather shows you are) PLEASE do NOT send it to NM!!! The wind is bad enough!

Hang in there! You CAN do this! I'm still praying for your DSis & family and I'm glad she's getting everything ready now for his release.

I'll be adding your name to the March Exercise Challenge soon, right????

Good to see you again Jamie. Great idea to journal. I know my journal has helped me to stay accountable when I have wanted to stray. The pizza fest sounds yummy, and now it is over and done. I'll bet next time you won't want it so much when you remember how you felt afterwards. Getting the exercise in is so hard, isn't it? At least you are drinking lots of water. That is really great.

Here's :wizard: that the rest of week is a bit easier.

I hear you about the pizza! Last night, we spent the night at a resort that has an indoor waterpark so the kids could swim and have a good time. They have a pizza shop in the lobby where the pizza is $20 for a large! My DH decided to go to a pizza shop down the street where you buy one pizza and get two free. So, he brings it back to the room and it is some of the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten. :eek: I had about 6 pieces. :sad2: guess I'll be drinking water like a fish today.:rolleyes1

Good Monday morning everyone!!!

I know I said that I would take 10 minutes out of each day to journal and I really meant that, However the last part of last week, I didn't have 10 minutes to use the restroom. It was crazy busy. With month end being here and then the auditors trying to complete the audit so we could file, it has been crazy. I feel for the auditors, they have been working until Midnight or after for the last few weeks as well as on weekends. But hopefully that is over with. They had to be completed yesterday as we are filing today. So now my life should allow me to journal again!!!

I have been eating pretty good, I won't list it all, since it's been a few days since I last posted. I didn't go crazy on pizza again. In fact it does not even sound good! I am still doing well with my water, getting in at least 100 oz a day. It feels really good. There are days where I don't want to but I know I should, so I do.

The weather this week is suppose to be really good, I am hoping this will help convince my brain that I need to get up. It's not suppose to be too cold at night, so I should be good. I am going to try at least. If not I will be walking at lunch so I will be getting some exercise in. I need to go sign up for the March challenage. It just didn't work out last week to get over there.

Well I am off to the March challenage thread and then I am going to try and get to everyone's journal. It looks like I may be able to do that today.

Hi Jamie, I do hope your ex bil moves to China and does your family a big favor by doing so.

The weather here is so nice, maybe that will make it easier for all of us to get back outside again after such a long, weird, snowy winter! And with the time change this weekend that should help for those evening walks especially. Don't worry about the pizza, one pizza binge can not undo all the good things you have been doing. Great job on the water! I really hope things settle down for you very soon. It makes it hard to get it all done when there is so much to be done! Hang in there and remember to always take time for you!

Hello everyone.

Whew what a week and a half. Things have been crazy here for me again!!! We are getting a new accounting system here at work and I have been in training 9-5 almost every day. Then on top of that I still have my other work to do. I log on to the DIS but that is as far as I can get. Please accept my apologies for not getting here sooner, but know that I think about every each day.

Eating has been pretty good, although not the best. I am not at work while I am in training I am out of the office so it's hard to find good things to eat. I thankfully can bring my lunch and put it in the fridge at the place we are training, but I didn't start that until a few days ago. I thought I would look silly if I asked, but I got tired of eating out each day for lunch.

Exercise has not been all that great, I have managed a 20 minute walk each day after I eat and that is about it. I did however make it to the elliptical last night and again this morning. YUP!!! I got my butt out of bed and actually was able to work out this morning. It felt so good. I am going to go home and work out with Bob from the Biggest Loser. I am determined to get this weight off and be healthy no matter what. My goal WAS to be healthy last summer when we went to WDW in August, but that didn't happen. But I am making that my goal for this year. We leave a week later this year so that gives me an extra week to meet this goal. I know I can do it if I just stick to this and not stray too far! I know I can.

I am going to vent for a second, so if you don't want to read this please skip it. I don't have anyone else to vent to.
My father had bypass surgery for the second time two weeks ago and then he was admitted back to the hopsital last night because he has some fluid that keeps forming at the end of incension. This makes me so mad because the first time he had the surgery the doctor told him that he would only do the surgery if my dad quit smoking. And he did, for like 6 months. Then he started smoking again. What was he thinking? I just want to smack him. I told him and my mother that I was not ready to lose them just yet and they needed to do something to change this. But she does not get it either. I don't know if my dad has stopped smoking again or not, but I sure hope so. They admitted him last night and the surgery is today. So we will see. Okay, I am done. Sorry

Water has been really good still. That is the one thing that I have not quit doing. I just get so thirsty and the only thing that sounds good is water. Is that crazy? Water does not have any taste to it whatsoever!!! But that is what I want. Some days I spend my life in the restroom since I drink so much, but that is okay!

Amy you are right, the weather here is getting good, so I am hoping that I can get out and walk in the evenings when things calm down. Maybe even take a bike ride. We were able to ride the motorcycles this weekend and we are hoping that we can do it again this weekend. Today is the only day that is going to be somewhat yucky. We are suppose to get rain, not snow thank gosh! Then we are suppose to rebound and warm up nicely. I just hope that the snow is done with is. I know we need the moisture, but we can have it in rain!!

Well I am going to try and get to everyone's journal today, if not them tomorrow.

Hi there,

Yesterday was a good day all the way around. I did good eating, water and exercise. For once I actually felt good all day. I have not been feeling like myself lately and I know it's because I have not been eating right or working out. So it felt really good!

My mom called this morning and my dad seems to be doing better. They could not find the reason for the fluid, so they are going to keep him for the weekend and see what happens. But everything looks good.

B @ 5:15 1/2 cereal with 1 banana
S @ 9:15 1 banana
L @ 12:00 peanut butter (reduced fat even) and jelly with a few sour cream and onion chips
S @ 3:00 1 medium apple
D @ 6:30 three small slice of cheese pizza
Water intake was great! I only got 42oz at work plus at home at I had 64 oz.
Exercise was good too, I walked for 20 minutes and did the ellipicatl for 20 minutes. Didn't make it to Bob yesterday though. Hopefully today.

When we go to WDW in August we make sure that we drink lots of water and also take plenty of breaks. The first year we went I hated the heat, now I am used to it. I don't mind it at all. When it's really hot we usually hit the airconditoned rides.
