Jamie's Journal (comments welcome please!)

Good Morning,

Okay....things have been pretty good!!! Just put the deposit down on my WDW trip for September!!! Let me tell you, I am totally ready to go. I WISH (HA) that I could go know! We are staying 12 nights, we had to book two reservations.....that sucked! We are spending 10 days in the parks and then our last day we are going to either go to see the Titanic or go play mini golf. We really have not decided. I need to do some research on how far it is to get to the Titanic and how much it is going to cost. So we will see. We arrive on a Sunday and we aren't going to any parks that day. We are going to head to Downtown Disney, get something to eat, shop and then relax at the hotel. We should get to the hotel a little after 3 pm...then Monday we hit the parks!!! WOOHOO!!! I am going to drive the family crazy between now and then....I just can't wait!!!!

I didn't really sleep all that well last night, so that gave me time to think about this journey that I am on....I just don't understand why I can't get back into the groove of exericising. I set the alarm and then I wake up well before it goes off, but I don't get up to work out. And doing it in the afternoon is just not working. that is why I decided to do it in the mornings...there is no way that I can do it after work. I have worked really hard to lose these first 30 pounds, I don't want to throw it all away. I have been eating the same so that is good....I have not gone out and been on a binge, I just can't work out. I am sure that is why my energy level is down...I just don't know what to do to get going again. I am hoping that by setting my WDW in stone, will help...I want to be healthy when we leave. I want to feel as good as I did last year when we left. The good news is that I have maintained my weight. I have not lost any and I have not gained any. So i guess that is good. I am going to set a goal and I must stick to it...I know I can, I did it once before. I need to lose at least another 20 pounds, if not more, to be healthier, but i want to lose that 20 pounds by the time I leave for WDW....that is August 27. I should be able to do that....does not sound unreasonable to me. So starting today, since I didn't work out this morning, I will do it this afternoon.....I will....Now that the weather is getting nicer, I will be able to ride my bike more and that will help on working out. I can ride for a while after dinner...I will succeed....I need to! And I must get back to journaling every day. Even though I was not doing it here, I kept my own and well that has slipped too....

Tuesday:

B @ 5:00 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 milk, 1 banana
S @ 8:15 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese
L @ 11:45, I went to Red Robin, was meeting an old friend, had a chicken sandwich and a few fries. Didn't finish all the fries....water to drink
S @ 3:00 1 cup yogurt
D @ 6:30 8 slices of bacon..
Water like I said, has been great...I have started bringing my own water to work, that way, one, I don't walk by all the goodies and two because I don't like our water here!!! Exercise....none :(

Okay, here we go....I can do this!!!! Thanks for stopping by. Hope everyone has a great day!

Amy - Baxter went a week without a name....we could not find a name that we liked. One day I decided on Baxter, said it and when I did he turned around. That is when his name became Baxter!!! Dh didn't like it at first, but it grew on him....

Amy& Dan - I have two Chichuhua's....a boy and a girl, actually brother and sister!!!! They are so much fun!!!!

You have a great plan in place! I think 20lbs before your trip is an obtainable goal. And once you get back into the groove of exercising, those lbs will melt away!

Your trip is going to be so much fun! I am envious...

20 Pounds is doable Jamie and you can certainly achieve that. You have proven you can lose 30 and stay on track so you just keeping doing what you have been doing! Having a trip to WDW will really help you stay motivated I am sure. At least the weather around here is so nice right now. Good luck with your bike riding, your food sounds great. I could never go to Red Robin and do that well!

Good morning all!!! Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate all the support.

Yesterday was a good day. I said I was going to get home and work out and I did. At first I thought that something was wrong with my elliptical so I messed around with it. It would not turn on. It was plugged into the wall and all the connections were there. I was so upset. So I was going to find something else to do....until I decided to check the plug in the back of the machine. For some reason that plug came halfway out and that is why that darn machine didn't want to work. So I plugged it back it and it worked!!! I did 30 minutes and I felt good!!! I forgot how good that feels!

I found out yesterday that I have been wasting my time by doing something that I was told to do at work, so I am going to talk to my boss to get some clarification. I really like my boss here, it is weird, I was hired as an A/P Supervisor and he told me in my interview that they were going to hire to supervisors. Why, not really sure. Well instead of hiring one plus me, they promoted someone within the department. We are lateral and I can't stand her. I know that sounds mean, but she is just rotten. She is withholding information from me so I can't get my job done. And know she is telling me tht I need to do something that I don't really need to do....So I have been wasting my time....literally. Others here don't think that she should have been promotoed, but oh well...such is life. So I am going to get clarification from my boss on what I need to be doing. Other than that job is going really well.....

Wednesday

B@ 5:00 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @8:15 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese and 1 banana

D @ 6;00 2 corn tacos with lf cheese
Water was really good....100 oz again!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.....Have a great day!

Way to go, Jamie!! :yay: Great job getting your workout in! Keep up the good work! :thumbsup2

I hope that everything works out for you at work. :goodvibes

Have a wonderful day! :sunny:

Jamie - Hello!

Just wanted to lend some support your way for your new quest in losing 20 before your Sept WDW trip!! :cheer2: GREAT JOB :cheer2: yesterday with 30 minutes on the elliptical!! You did awesome! Keep it up!

Hi Jamie, hey! good job on the elliptical, keep it up! That plus the good eating you've been doing are gonna do the trick for you, get those pesky 20 outta there.

Sounds like a weird deal at work, its always frustrating when coworkers are difficult. You'd think that they'd want to do what's right and be helpful, since you have to see them everyday, but it definitely doesn't work out that way all the time.

Have a good day, and thanks for the support in my journal.

Wow, it sounds like you need to have a conference with your boss, yourself and the rotten one. You need to nip that in the bud now before she thinks she can control you like that!

Great job getting that workout in! :cheer2:

Hi Jamie,

Good for you that you worked out! And drank 100 oz of water, you are on a roll. You are smart to talk to your boss, things like that usually only get out of hand if you allow them to. Sounds like you really have to watch your back with that co worker, what a bummer. There is always one rotten egg in every group huh? Keep up the good work and thanks for always supporting me in my journal, I know we can do this!

Good Friday Morning everyone....thanks for stopping by. I really appreicate all the support!

Yesterday went very well. My boss and I talked and everything is okay...I am happy, he is happy and so is everyone else!!!! I knew that it was just a matter of communication!! Now we are all on the right track....and that is so nice :)

Food was really good yesterday...I have been craving pizza for three days now, I have not said anything to DH....I just try and put it out of my mind and find something so much better to eat! It has been working. Last night I got the sudden case of munchies right after Surviour....Oh man I wanted something. But it was too late to eat anything. So I picked up my book and read for a while and then I decided that it was time for bed! That worked for me. I was tired enough that I watched a little of the Flintstones and then I was out!

I had a nail appointment yesterday, so when that was done, I came home and did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 25 minutes with the weights. Not sure if I mentioned it or not, but we have the Bowflex and that thing is great but I also wanted some free weights. So I talked DH into getting us some....I love them! I am still going to use the Bowflex, but I also like the free weights.

Thursday:
B @5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese and 1 banana
L @ 11:45 1 turkey sandwich with very little lite mayo, 1/2 serving goldfish, and 1 small apple
S @ 2:45 1 cup yogurt
D @ 6:00 3 scrambled eggs, 2 slices of sausage
Water was good again...100 oz. I am really getting use to this. I think my body is too. I don't have to go to the bathroom as often...I know TMI!!!

Well off to other journals.Have a great day!

You are doing great with your exercising! I'm glad things got ironed out at work.

Isn't it amazing how your body gets used to the extra water? I used to have a hard time getting it all in on the weekends, but now I am so used to it I get really thirsty and it is no problem anymore!

Keep it up, you're doing awesome! :cool1:

WOW, Jamie! You are doing such a great job with exercising. And I WISH I had your willpower when you didn't succumb to temptation last night. Good for you, kiddo!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. And that you get plenty of time with your furbabies. :cloud9:

You're doing GREAT, Jamie!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Jamie,

Wow, great job resisting the urge to eat Thursday night! That is huge, when you can just overcome the cravings and urger to eat. And I am with you, now that I have been drinking the 100 oz. of water my body is used to it and I am not spending nearly as much time in the bathroom! Your food sounds really good. And you are working out too. Pat yourself on the back and have a super weekend!

Amy

P.S. Is the bowflex hard to use? I have always wanted something like that and dh and I have thought about getting one.

You are doing a great job, Jamie! :thumbsup2 Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Hope you are having a wodnerful weekend! :sunny: Take care!

Good Morning,

Well I had a pretty good weekend...weather was great, eating was great and water was good!!

Like I said the weather was great so we were able to do some much needed work in the yard! For some reason the last two years in a row someone in our neighborhood is coming and stealing parts off our sprinkler system. I don't understand. They wait until winter sometime and then they come over and take parts. So then at the beginning of the season we have to go buy the part ($60.00) and put it on. I don't know what to do to make them stop. I don't understand. Any how we got that taken care of, they work fine....I planted some more roses...they are so pretty!!! I need to get out and rack the lawn to get the dead stuff off, but that will have to wait. We had really great weather over the weekend and then for the next few days it is suppose to be really crappy! Rain and maybe even snow. I can do with the rain, just no snow!

We got the grill up and running...we needed propane, and I am so excited! I bought some chicken breasts, marinated them in Light Done Right Zesty Itialian dressing and grilled them up! OMGoodness they are so good. I did some more last night, but by the time I was ready to grill them for lunch today and tomorrow is was really yucky out. So I baked them instead. They smelled really good!!!

Friday
B @5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese
L @ 11:45 Healthy Choice cheese pizza (this was not as good as I was hoping for) 1 apple
S @ 2:15 1 cup yogurt
D @ 5:30 2 slices of cheese pizza from Pizza Hut! YUM Very bad, but oh so good!!!
Water - 100oz :)
Got my 30 minutes in on the elliptical...I was going to do weights again, but I ran out of time!

Saturday
B @ 6:15 1 cheese omlete
S skipped - dentist appt
L @ 1:00 1 turkey and cheese sandwich
D @ 5:00 2 slices of leftover pizza
Water - 100 oz :)

Sunday
B @ 6:15 2 waffles with light butter and 1/4 tsp of syrup
L @ 11:15 1 grilled chicken breast YUM
S @ 2:30 popcorn...not really sure how much though
D @6:30 1 1/2 hotdogs!
Water - 100 oz!!!

I picked up the new Dr. P, the one with berries and cream, for DH this past weekend, we have never tried it. So I did have less than 8 oz of that...I wanted to try and see what it was like. I was surprised..it was a little sweet, but I am not used to soda, but it was good. DH really liked it!!!

Amy, I don't think that the bowflex is hard to use at all. I have found though, that boxflexs' 50 pounds is a lot different than weights at 50 pounds. Does that make sense? I really like the bowflex...it is easy to use and it really works!

Wow, you did great this weekend! And at least you got the cheese pizza, which is much better than Meat Lovers or greasy pepperoni! :cheer2:

I saw that Diet Dr Pepper at the store, but it was not on sale, so I passed it by. I usually don't buy soda unless it is on sale for $2.50 or less per 12-pack. This is why I go shopping and DH doesn't - he buys whatever he wants and doesn't even look at the prices... :confused3

You are really kicking up the exercise, way to go! I also love grilling lots of chicken and having it as leftovers. There are lots of yummy marinades too (I love the Caribbean Jerk and also Honey Teriyaki kinds).

Yeah for getting the grill up and going. This is our first year with a propane grill and I love it beyond belief already!

Thank you so much for your support this past week-it really meant a lot. :)

Hi Jamie,

Wow you did GREAT this weekend. Good for you! I love marinating chicken breasts in the lite salad dressing and grillling them. They are so good on salads during the week. And Healthy Choice pizza is gross. I love Southbeach Diet pizza. Its more calories, but really high in fiber since its made with whole wheat crust. I cook it in the regular oven and broil it for the last minute and it is really good. 7 points total but better than ordering out and more satisfying than H. Choice or Lean Cuisine brands. That stinks about your sprinkler, wouldn't you love to know who is doing that? Maybe you need to mark your sprinkler parts, spray paint them silver maybe? Some people are so classless!

Thanks for the bowflex info, I would love to get one at some point. Keep up the good work, you will be skinny for your WDW trip!
