Jambo vs. Kidani at AKL

The last time we stayed at AKL was before the villas were open there. We are planning a post cruise stay at AKL for next summer. I'm confused as to whether I should choose Jambo vs. Kidani. Jambo doesn't have dedicated two bedrooms but it looks like Jambo might have better views?

I'd love it some one could provide me with some insight. Thanks!

Kidani has better views. All Jambo villas are on 5th floor, which limits them some.

Questions like "which is best" are always subjective and depend on a lot of factors. None of the DVC resorts is a dump.

Things like how many in your party, how old are they, any mobility issues, amenity proximity preferences, views....everything comes into play. So a better way to phrase the question is to state what is critical to you in a great DVC resort, then people can tell you which one might better fit your criteria. Good luck with the planning!

If you want a quick serve food court, choose Jambo.

I wouldn't pick one or the other for views, our last stay at Kidani had a nice view of a road, an offsite high rise, highway noise, and we saw more deer outside of the fence than animals inside the fence. It was a total waste of DVC points.

For a 2 BR you'd get the extra bath for Kidani. If you won't have a car, Jambo might be more convenient depending on plans. The pool is nicer and more kid friendly for Kidani. We prefer Kidani.

I like them both. When we are Jambo House I always say why don't we stay here more often. But then when we are staying at Kidani Village I always wonder why we don't stay there more often. And DH feels the same. It is definitely more crowded and noisy in the Jambo House Lobby, partly because of the large Disney hotel and because of the two table service restaurants which have large seating areas and Boma is open to lobby so all that noise there floats up to lobby.

Looks to me as the pool at Kidani is a lot more fun and active.
