I booked our trip for May and of course, at this time, only Jambo House is open for reservations. When the day comes next month when Kidani is available to make reservations, can I call and ask to have my reservation changed to Kidani? Would that be a big hassle?
And while I'm on the subject, do you think it would be better to stay at Jambo at that time since Kidani will be so brand new and may be prone to some issues that arise with a brand new resort?

It should be easy to make the switch. As to the conditions question, no one really knows the answer, including whether key things such as pool and restaurant will be done.

We just have a 1 night stay planned after our cruise next May, and I'm waiting to book it in Kidani! I can't wait to see what it will be like. Completely finished or not, I'm psyched about staying there!

PS. I do want to try the new layout for the 2 bedroom. We are not happy with the bathroom setup of a 1-2 bedroom in Jambo.

I would definitely switch to Kidani. I feel the Jambo rooms are not up to DVC standards.

The only trouble I could maybe see would be that everyone will be trying to do the same thing at the same time. Could cause "congestion"... but it's worth a shot.

Jambo House is just glorified hotel rooms. Unless you get the GV at Jambo House. You'll have a pool table in your villa. No separate shower from the tub in the master bedrooms. Small galley style kitchens. I have no desire to stay in Jambo House.
