How'd you know.........?? ;) ;)

How are ya??? I said "HEY" a few pages back, but I'm guessing you missed it!!!! SO, when ya headed back??? I'm trying to convince DH that we NEEEEED to buy DVC at the lodge............ :rolleyes1

If you need any help with the convincing, let me know.

I've got numbers and spreadsheets aplenty.
I've got room layouts and pictures galore.
You want help with justification?
I've got WAAAAAY more than 4.

:)

My wife and I (keep in mind, BOTH of us are obsessive planners) went over the prospect of DVC like we were deciding the fate of the world. I'd be happy to share what we came up with or point you toward some of the resources we found out there (aside from the awesome DVC boards right here on the DIS).

TA e-mailed me this morning --we're still in at AKL for Sept 7-15! I guess we'll just wait and see what happens as we get closer to the date.

LOL --- You came along and saw my post at just the right time!!!! We too are obsessive planners........ :rolleyes1 We typically go to WDW at least once year, but have recently been going about every 6 months, staying at AKL.......(we love it) so, I"ve been trying to convince him that buying into DVC may be a good option for us.......... SOOOOOOOOO, send me what you've got!!!! Please!!!! I'll PM you with my email!!!

Thanks......... and if this works out........ who knows, there could be a zebra dome in it for ya!!!!

Seriously, Thank You!!!!

I'm actually VERY bad at selling pretty much everything.

But analyzing data? That, I'm VERY good at (or so they tell me at work).

:)

For us, going every year, DVC pretty much sold itself once AKV came along. From every angle we looked at it (finanial, emotional, comfort, etc), it made sense for us. It doesn't, for everyone. But wendypooh seems like she might fit dead in the wheelhouse for those it does (going to WDW at least every year and staying in a deluxe).

Exactly, DH and I have been talking about it......... a lot!!! We just need to find out how it all works, etc.... DH really loves AKL and enjoys staying there, well, we all do, so I think DVC there would be ideal for us! Again, Thanks for any help or info you can provide -

cause analyzing data is NOT my thing!!! ;) I just want to have our ducks in a row and know for sure when we head down in Feb. that way, IF we decide to do it, then we can go in prepared.

Hi there- We are planning a trip to the Poly in Feb and am planning to do our last night at the AKL. Can anyone tell me about the kids activities they have?

Thanks

Does anyone have any pictures of Jiko? How about some of the INSIDE of Simba's Clubhouse?

Thanks!!:thumbsup2

Should I be worried about construction for our December trip? Also, I know they stopped booking rooms for now for December, so should I assume that I won't get a discount code? I booked a Savannah View room and was banking on a discount. We'll probably still stay at ALK anyway, unless we can get a good discount on another deluxe (but there is not one I'd rather stay at). It's our last trip for a long time (DH wants to explore other vacation destinations, the horror!) and I've always dreamed of staying at AKL, so my heart is really set on it.

Hi !! I would like to see responses too! I've had better luck posting my questions as a new thread on this (resorts) forum! Good luck! :goodvibes

OK folks here's a question. We have ressies for our family at BOMA. My children are 10 and 13. They, of course, have to pay the adult fee. I really don't think it would be worth it for them to go but we LOVE Boma. So here's the question. If my hubby and I go to Boma do you think it would be OK to let the kids have dinner on their own and kinda roam the resort? They would be together and they will each have their own cell phone. Thoughts?

I'm sure if you search this thread you'll come up with pics of Jiko........ I don't have any to post - sorry!! I think somewhere I have some pics of inside of Simba's Cubhouse........ let me try to find them!! But, here is a post of mine from awhile back that'll give you a little info.

Hope this helps!

We've only used the Neverland Club, but we may also use Simba's Cubhouse on our next trip. We did peek in on our last trip for a look and it was really cute. Here is some info I found on allears, hope it helps!!

The tentative schedule for the Cubhouse is: 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Check-in and free play; 6-8 p.m. Dinner; 8:30 p.m. Snack Time; 9 p.m. Creative Play; 10 p.m. Vote on a Disney Movie; 10:15 Movie time and quiet time. I think it would be OK - so long as they know the rules!!! I might curtail the "roaming" to a specified area though!!! But, I think they'd LOVE being "grown up" and being able to go over to Mara, eat, then hang out at the game room for awile. I'd say they are old enough. When our 2 oldest boys were younger we'd let them explore too........ (they were like 12/14) and we did make sure they both had cell phones as well. But, I think if you are all at the resort there shouldn't be a problem!!! Enjoy your dinner at Boma!!!
