How's this for a turndown? :lmao:

Hi Bensmom, I told him about the golf there, but getting the club to agree to go is another matter. Titusville is probably half the cost of Disney! (if that)

I don't golf - so if he came with us, he wouldn't have anyone to play with :confused3

I told my fiance about this, and he said "Yes, he would!" But my fiance always says about his golf game--"I have an insatiable love for the game but not discernable talent." I don't golf either, but I have a certificate for lessons and have yet to use it. My son plays and loves it, but just can't seem to mentally get through 18 holes at 7 and a half! He always wants to get to the 19th hole for a large root beer!

BEWARE OF MELTING ZEBRA DOMES! We brought them from Mara out to the pool bar, and Ben went swimming. By the time he got back, they were really mushy! The rule of thumb is to consume all immediately!

Not to change the subject, guys, but did anyone see the Tigger assault tape yet? I don't want to start WW3, but I really think this guy is trying to make a buck off of Disney. It truly appears that the Tigger cast member did it by accident. It's so hard to see in those costumes! Besides, if the kid were annoying him (and he looked to be about 14), the character attendant would have gotten him out of there. Anything to bash our beloved Disney! What does anyone else think?

I agree with you Bensmom, it looks like it was an accident. I even wonder if Tigger was getting bit by a bug or something. He looks like he is trying to reach and scratch himself on the back. I think the dad was making way to much out of it and looks like he is out for $$$.

The Tigger thing is disgusting. Con artist, opportunistic Dad. IMO

BensMom, the 19th hole is the only part of golf I participate in. :goodvibes

So what do you think: Is it a crime to stay at AKL for 8 nights and not have breakfast at Boma once? We will be eating dinner there (as well as at Jiko) and we will be on the Dining Plan. Therefore all our TS meals are going to be dinners.

Boma is definitely worth it for breakfast! We would pass by it every morning on our way out the lobby, and it smelled so good, but didn't know if we wanted to spend $18 apiece for it, as all our TS's were for dinner. Turned out that all those dinnertime ADRs became such a hassle of having to stop what we were doing to get to our restaurant on time, and having to find transportation to get there, that we cancelled our last dinner TS and used that credit for breakfast at Boma instead. I'm so glad we did ... it was a fabulous buffet, and the food was scrumptious.

princess: It'll be my 28th Birthday in June during our two week stay. I had my birthday at WDW last year and it got a bit lost as we didn't plan ahead. Does anyone have any ideas for special birthdays???

For my birthday I did Dolphins in Depth at EPCOT and at night we did California Grill

For my daughter's Birthday we did Hoop Dee Doo.

How about Cirque de Soleil?

I fell in love with the Dolphins as Seaworld so that sounds like it might be one to try.

I did quite fancy trying Hoop De Hoo - is it easy to go to the other hotels from AKL?

I LOVED Cirque de Soleil (so much so that i had to buy the DVD when i got home!!) I was definately considering that one
:)

There is a rental center near the MK that you can take a taxi to. I am not sure if there are tour buses or anything to Crystal River or Kennedy....

...if you go to DTD, the Holdiay Inn has a Budget car rental place, where you can rent a vehicle. As for the buses for day excursions, think of it THIS way: if Disney has you 'On-Property", do you think that they will make it convenient, so that you can spend your $$ somewhere ELSE????!!?!?;)

So, the chances are good we could run into each other at Victoria Falls one of these fine days! LOL:drinking1

Seaworld, so I hear, has a fantastic Dolphins program. As far as getting "intra-hotel," Disney doesn't make it quite as easy as everyone would like it to be. If you don't want to take a cab to HDD Review, the best way is to take the bus from AKL to MK and then the boat over to Fort Wilderness Campground. I believe that's the most direct, unless someone else more experienced can help Little Flower out.

They ran the tape on Atlanta's Fox News last night - nothing there to make one think Tigger was hitting the kid. Hasn't Daddy ever bumped somebody or moved his arm suddenly and had it make contact with someone 'on accident'? Hey Tigger - I'm on your side!! (bad Daddy :guilty: )

the Dolphins at seaworld are phenomenal. I had never seen a dolphin before our trip 2006 and i got to feed and stroke them which was amazing. I would strongly recommend doing this to anyone.

I think it might actually be quite a good way to get to HDD review usifng the boat - it must add to the atmosphere of the night!!

I don't want to get off track here (although I did start this conversation), but we had a sour incident on the DCL last May. One of the castmembers at Castaway Cay pulled my son's hair deliberately because he got out line. Was it the right thing to do? NO! So, we called security and reported the incident, and the castmember was spoken to. These things happen. We didn't call in the police and have WESH 2 news waiting for us at the freaking dock for a live interview when we pulled into port! Nor did we "contact our lawyer"! What happened to my son was deliberate, but we didn't push it. Of course, we were upset, but where was it going to go? We got over it, for gawrsh sakes. Jeez, I suppose we could have made a few bucks off Disney, but we are just not like that. It would have solved nothing. The "Tigger incident" looks purely like an accident.

Anyway, back to reality. Ah, the LODGE!!! Breathe deep, close your eyes, picture walking in the entrance, hearing the doors open, the music, the smell. Ahhhh! Jambo!
